Emile the Goat's role in Severance Season 2
If you haven't watched the finale of Severance, you might as well skip this part because we're about to share some finale spoilers!
Emile the Goat's role is quite big in the last episode of Season 2! Lorne is their caretaker, and as the Cold Harbor file is completed by Mark S., one of the goats from the Mammalians Nurturable will be sacrificed for the "greater good" of Kier Eagan and Lumon.
During some scenes in the finale, Lorne almost killed Emile the Goat but it was stopped because Lorne and Drummond heard Mark S., saving Emile the Goat in the process.
Emile the Goat's significance in the finale shows how much of a cult Lumon is and how much vile Kier Eagan is, thinking of nothing but himself—so yes, the "almost" animal sacrifice is an essential part of the finale of Severance Season 2!
It's fun to know that even the animals on the set of Severance are being cared for and not being abused—even adding stuffed toy goat as stunt doubles so that the real animals will also not be traumatized even when they're only acting. Kudos to the production team for taking an extra step in keeping the animals on set safe from any harm!
