2025 shall be known as the year of Kendrick, as the 37-year-old shows no signs of stopping - first taking home five Grammys for his viral Drake diss track Not Like Us, then performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and recently becoming the most-listened-to rapper on Spotify. As if these massive successes weren't enough, it looks like Lamar is about to make another big achievement - getting his own Fortnite emote.
Recent reports suggest that Fortnite will be releasing a Kendrick Lamar emote soon. While fans of the popular game and Lamar celebrated on social media, many users were hilariously seen expressing their annoyance, since Not Like Us has been playing almost everywhere for the past couple of months.
Hilarious Internet Reactions
The reports left netizens quite amused, as they quickly shared their thoughts on the new Kendrick Lamar emote in Fortnite.
"People still play fortnite?" a user asked.
Many users were surprised to learn that people still play Fortnite, given that it’s been nearly eight years since its release, especially now that Marvel Rivals seems to be the new craze.
"Just what we need, another overpriced emote to waste our money on. Fortnite's really milking this game for all it's worth, huh?" said another.
If there’s one thing gamers absolutely dislike, it’s pay-to-play features. This user is really hoping the Kendrick Lamar emote on Fortnite isn’t locked behind a price tag. The real question is - will the critics still buy it if they’re Kendrick fans?
Drake's nightmare (via @suayrez / X)
Drake has been known to play Fortnite to unwind during recording breaks, but with so many Kendrick emotes in the game, it looks like he might be taking a break from Fortnite too. Is the game secretly throwing shade at Drake now too?
"I bet the song will be They Not Like Us on repeat a million times?" a user wondered.
This user isn't alone, as many others are also hoping that Not Like Us doesn’t end up playing on repeat in Fortnite a million times. At this point, people have heard it so much that they could use a well-deserved break from it to revisit it again later.
"Can we get a Drake one, throwing slippers?" joked another.
Well, as this user suggests, if there's a Kendrick Lamar emote on Fortnite now, shouldn't there be one for Drake too - perhaps of him throwing a slipper at a drone just like in that recent viral video?
Kendrick Lamar sure seems to be giving us a masterclass on how to achieve everything in just three months, now with him getting an emote on Fortnite too. He’s on such a different level right now that one could say he’s...Not Like Us!
