Spotify decided to pull a John Cena and turn heel on its users by shutting down out of nowhere. One minute, everyone was vibing to Sabrina Carpenter, and the next, everyone was staring into the void, and finding the meaning of life. Watching people stop mid-workout and lose all the momentum wasn't pleasant at all.

It is hard enough to convince people to go to the gym, and when something like this happens, people may take it as a sign from the universe that a toned body is not for them. It's Bye-bye biceps.

Users worldwide were stunned by the Spotify crash and were forced to do things they wouldn't do normally. People were forced to talk to their roommates and discover they were nice people. Once the app crashed, users tried everything from reinstalling the app to buying a new phone to sacrificing their earpods to the Gods, but nothing worked.

Seeing no 'Discover Weekly', and no 'Release Radar', on their screen was breaking everyone's heart. Gen Z couldn't concentrate on studying, millennials stopped going to the gym, and boomers weren't bothered at all because they don't use Spotify.

Hilarious memes that erupted when Spotify was down

When the disaster struck, the only logical thing people thought to do was to check social media to see if only they were suffering or if it was the whole world. And to their relief, the entire world was mourning the loss of Spotify. Everyone took to social media to voice their concern and disdain at this atrocity. Some even called their therapists.

Jokes and memes were flying all across social media, and many support groups were formed for the musically abandoned. Here are some of the most creative memes that came straight from the hearts of many brokenhearted music lovers.
