It's been 6 years since CBS' hit show The Big Bang Theory went off the air after 12 seasons of bringing laughter to the world and creating a massive global fanbase. Fans have since been aching to see their favorite science nerds on screen again, knowing that they most likely won't get to. However, it looks like a beloved character from the show is about to get his own series.

A new The Big Bang Theory spin-off series has been confirmed, 'Stuart Fails To Save The Universe,' which will be centered around Stuart, the comic book store owner. Kevin Sussman, Brian Posehn, John Ross Bowie, and Lauren Lapkus are all confirmed to reprise their roles. The news has left fans hyped, as they will get to see some of their favorite characters on screen once again.

Hilarious Fan Reactions

Fans were quite divided by the news and took to the internet to share what they had to hilariously say about it.

"No one asked for this 😭," a fan wrote.

It seems many fans, such as this one, didn’t want a spin-off of another character from The Big Bang Theory and wished they would have asked him first before making one. Perhaps he should have applied to be a studio executive.

"How does a show that nobody watched past season 3 keep getting spin-offs 30 years later?" wondered another.

Looks like this user wasn’t a big fan of The Big Bang Theory post-season 3 at all. No wonder he wonders why the show keeps getting spin-offs after it started dying in popularity after the initial seasons.

It feels like Oprah might be one of the studio executives at CBS, as every character from The Big Bang Theory seems to be getting a spin-off series of their own. Or at least that’s what this user believes!

"This is like creating a Friends spinoff set around Gunther....," a fan said.

A spin-off series about Stuart the comic book store owner? That's like making a show about Gunther from F.R.I.E.N.D.S called "Gunther Builds the Biggest Coffee Shop in the World."

"Bro couldn't even save his own store, and now it's the universe?" asked another.

Quite an interesting point there - Stuart can barely save his comic book store, and now he's about to star in a show called "Stuart Fails To Save The Universe?" Something seems off, as this fan points out.

The announcement of Stuart Fails To Save The Universe certainly seems to have piqued fans' interest. Now the real question fans seem to be asking is - will Stuart fail to save the new show?
