Drake has publicly roasted DJ Khaled after the We the Best mogul announced two new collaborations between them on his upcoming album, Aalam of God. DJ Khaled came through with an announcement that was supposed to set the music world on fire, but he probably did not expect a UNO reverse card.

Anthem King’s upcoming album was going to feature two new Drake collaborations. But the God’s Plan singer had some other plans as he publicly refuted the alleged collaboration.

While the incident served as a big damn moment, social media turned it into a roast session with no survivors. One user commented saying:

"No more features for anyone 🤣"

Another added:

"Drake becoming a Pick Me now 🤣"

A user went on to react with a hilarious meme.

A user joked:

"Drake said we ain’t the best, just me 😭"

Serving a roast, a user stated:

"Drake Bell is more musically talented than rapper Drake tbh."

A user quipped:

"Drake sent that cease and desist 😂😂"

A user reacted with a fun GIF:

A user went on to say:

"Drake is so nasty now. We might be a villan forever."

"DRAKE’S BACK TO WORK”… OR IS HE?

To really hammer the point home, DJ Khaled dropped a trailer featuring Mark Wahlberg, adding names like Jay-Z and Rihanna, and of course—Drake.

Khaled then took to Instagram, caps lock fully engaged, and declared,

"DRAKE’S BACK TO WORK… SO AM I! THIS THE ONE WITH DRAKE’S,”

He even tagged Rihanna for dramatic effect.

But Drake wasn’t having it. He responded with a single line that cut deeper than any diss track ever could:

“Must be @drakebell.”

For those unfamiliar, Drake Bell is the former Nickelodeon star best known for playing Jimmy Neutron’s friend or something. So, this was THE burn.

The aftermath was swift and brutal as DJ Khaled promptly deleted the offending Instagram post.

But the internet never forgets, and neither do screenshots. The move only made fans more suspicious—was this just wishful thinking on Khaled’s part?

A history of hits—and now drama

To fully appreciate the absurdity of this situation, we must revisit the storied history of Drake and DJ Khaled’s partnership. Let’s take a quick nostalgia trip:

"I’m On One" (2011): Certified classic. Made you feel like you had life figured out even when you didn’t.

"For Free" (2016): The unofficial anthem of summer 2016. If you weren’t screaming “And like your boy from Compton said…” were you even outside?

"POPSTAR" (2020): Pandemic banger. Also gave us the now-iconic Justin Bieber cameo in the music video.

Given their track record, fans were naturally hyped for another Khaled x Drake collab. So Drake’s denial stung.

Just last year, DJ Khaled waxed poetic about his bond with Drake, calling him “more of a brother than a friend.”

The other context

Meanwhile, this whole situation is playing out against the backdrop of another drama: Kendrick Lamar just cleaned up at the 2025 Grammys, taking home five trophies for Not Like Us, the diss track aimed squarely at Drake.

That includes Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham, when asked about Kendrick’s wins, hit back with:

"I don’t care nothing about that s**t."

Seth Meyers, however, saw an opportunity for some late-night trolling. He joked that after multiple Grammy wins for a diss track, maybe it was time for Drake to "pack it up."

Drake strikes back (sort of)

The joke landed, but Drake wasn’t about to let it slide without a response. Two days later, at his concert, he told the crowd, "I’m very much alive."

And let’s not forget the elephant in the room—Not Like Us didn’t just go after Drake’s rap skills, it contained some serious allegations regarding his interactions with younger women, which Drake has denied.
