If you've been anywhere on the internet lately, you must have heard of the 'Hawk Tuah' girl, who has been going viral because of one video. TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter has been having a gala with the video, coming up with innovative memes and reels using the audio from the now viral video.
But, what is this viral 'Hawk Tuah' girl meme that has left the internet in splits? The video is a clip of a young woman describing the act of pleasuring a man in bed in response to an interview question on Tim and Dee TV.
As part of the video, the girl was asked -
"What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?"
In response, the woman, rather animatedly described the move as the following -
"You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang."
While her statement was relatively harmless, her enthusiasm about describing the act and her usage of the term "Hawk Tuah" to describe the act of spitting is what left the internet in splits. Her animated action resulted in a bunch of memes, like the following.
The trend has truly taken the internet by storm and people are coming up with more and more innovative memes using the audio or the girl's image.
Who is the viral 'Hawk Tuah' girl who has become a TikTok sensation?
The Hawk Tuah girl has been identified as Katie Wickers, a 25 year old woman from Paducah. The video took place when she was on a girl's trip with her friends, including her best friend, Melinda Capshaw, who also makes a brief appearance in the viral video.
Commenting on the video going viral, Capshaw was quoted saying,
"Katie is super awesome. She's a little embarrassed about the video becoming so popular. As soon as she said 'Hawk Tuah' on camera she instantly regretted it."
However, speaking about the incident, Katie herself does not seem to have any regrets.
"I was just being myself. I never imagined it'd get this big!"
It is speculated though that the 'Hawk Tuah' girl, Katie Wickers, is the daughter of Harley Wickers, the prominent pastor of the Little Hope Baptist Church in Paducah. Reverend Wickers is not too pleased about his daughter's popularity, claiming that he had expected her to "spread the Good Word, not become a national laughing stock."
However, the video has been a viral sensation ever since it was first seen on the internet back in June 2024 and is expected to be a timeless meme for years to come.
