Celebrity lookalike contests have become very popular lately, and Zendaya has become the newest to join this list. Celebrities like Timothee Chalamet were previously seen trying to find their doppelganger among the masses. The latest instance of such a competition occurred with a 'Zendaya lookalike' contest being held in Oklahoma on November 20th.
The poster for this contest was shared on social media and it gained a lot of traction online - while several expressed interest in the contest, others spoke about how it was surprising to them that people would want to host a lookalike contest for the Euphoria star.
However, a lot of others poked fun at the activity, stating that the contest was just a ploy for people to find attractive young women and accumulate them in one place.
According to Twitter user Cory Campbell, the contest must have been held by somebody who was trying to find a wife for themselves.
The idea sparked the curiosity of many social media users, who took to Twitter to share their thoughts about this contest.
Others responded to the contest, commenting on the prize that was being awarded to the winner - Carol's Daughter shampoo and conditioner and a cash prize of $40.
The Zendaya lookalike contest attracted a massive crowd
The contest took place in Wilma Chan Park, Oklahoma, on November 20th, 2024, and saw massive participation.
With 7 young girls competing to win the title of being the Marvel star's closest lookalike, the competition saw a crowd of more than 50 people attending the same to cheer on for the 7 participants competing for the top spot.
The competition was won by 24-year-old Zainab Bainsfield, who won a white sash, flowers, chocolates, and the previously announced prize.
Speaking about what she would do with the cash prize, Bainsfield said she would use the money to buy tickets for the Euphoria star's upcoming movie with Robert Pattinson, "The Drama."
