TikTok's future is in crisis, and users are reacting in the most hilarious manner. Given that the government is trying to ban the app over concerns for security, TikTok fanatics are retaliating by flocking to another Chinese app instead, RedNote.
Some users, now known as TikTok refugees, are boldly declaring that they're solely on the app to rebel against the government, joking that if the Chinese want their data, they will gladly give it to them. At the time of writing, the app is the most downloaded in the nation despite most of it being in Mandarin.
