Now, the 52-year-old star is gearing up for his next film, The Smashing Machine, a biographical sports drama about MMA fighter Mark Kerr, set to release on October 3 this year. However, a recently surfaced look of the actor from the film has already caused quite a stir.

A new look at Dwayne Johnson as Mark Kerr in Benny Safdie’s upcoming A24 film The Smashing Machine was recently released, featuring the actor with a full head of hair—something fans haven’t seen in a very long time. Fans of The Rock and moviegoers alike praised him for fully stepping into a character so different from his usual on-screen persona, which he’s often been criticized for sticking to. Of course, the new look also sparked a few laughs online.
