Cedric Diggory is one of the contestants of the Triwizard tournament at Hogwarts and during the last match between him and Harry Potter, they went to a cemetery because that's where the Portkey dropped them. In the cemetery, Peter Pettigrew, one of Voldemort's supporters, killed Cedric Diggory with the killing curse and by using Voldemort's wand.
And that folks is how Cedric Diggory tragically died in the Goblet of Fire.
