Ever since Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s 2024 diss battle happened, their fans have been locked in an endless online war over who came out on top. And even though the rappers have stopped dissing each other, their fanbases haven’t, and it looks like now they’ve found yet another reason to go at it!
Spotify and Apple Music recently updated their most-listened-to songs in the USA, and the results were surprising. While Drake topped the Apple Music charts, Kendrick Lamar dominated Spotify. However, Drake was nowhere to be found on Spotify’s list. The charts generated celebrations on both sides, but some fans are now questioning Spotify’s authenticity.
Hilarious Fan Reactions
Fans of both rappers were seen cracking up at the charts. Let's check out some of their funniest reactions.
"Must be two different USA's," a fan commented.
As this fan humorously suggests, how is it that both rappers are dominating different music platform charts in the same country? Could it be that there are actually two different USAs, and the CIA has been keeping it a secret all along?
"They just buying multiple copies on iTunes lmao," said another.
Looks like this user just uncovered the mystery behind Drake topping the Apple Music US charts - people must have been buying multiple copies of his songs on iTunes. Either that’s the case, or this user is just a die-hard Kendrick fan.
The big fight (via @hooltras1944 / X)
If any GIF could perfectly capture the Kendrick-Drake beef, this one would be it. Maybe the two rappers should just settle it once and for all with a charity boxing match. Now that would be a spectacle for their fans!
"At least try and hide it spotify," commented another.
C'mon, Spotify, at least try to hide it like this user suggests! Think of how bad Drake and his fans must feel seeing him completely missing from your top charts. Or maybe, as some Drake fans believe, there's just a tiny error in your algorithm?
"Who let Doechi sneak in the top 10," a user pointed out.
Wait a minute, how is Drake topping the US Apple Music charts but nowhere to be seen on the Spotify US charts, while Doechii made it to the top 10? As this user points out, if Drake is #1 on Apple Music, he should at least be in the top 5 on Spotify. Something’s not adding up!
Bot detected! (via @3nnis0 / X)
If this theory holds any weight, then the real question is - which of the two rappers got the better bot game?
It seems the internet won’t be moving on from the Drake vs. Kendrick battle anytime soon, as their passionate fans refuse to back down until one side admits defeat. But either way, the internet still wins!
