MrBeast has hopped on the Chicken Jockey meme trend. The YouTuber attended a theater with several other people to watch A Minecraft Movie. In case you haven't heard, there's a scene in the movie where Jack Black's character, Steve, has become so popular online that it's become a huge meme.
In Minecraft, a chicken jockey is a very rare monster consisting of a baby zombie sitting on a chicken. In the film, there is a scene enacted by Steve (played by Jack Black) and Garrett Garrison (Jason Momoa) inside a boxing ring.
A crate falls down from above, and a baby zombie appears, sitting on a chicken, creating the legendary chicken jockey. Jack Black completes the moment by yelling, "Chicken Jockey!"
And now the internet is losing it, with everyone in the theater yelling "Chicken Jockey" and going gaga over the scene.
Now that MrBeast has jumped in, the trend has taken another humorous turn.
People on social media are making jokes that every time MrBeast catches up with a trend, he manages to kill the joke somehow.
It looks like whenever he jumps on something, the internet just stops finding it funny, and that is what is happening with the chicken jockey meme this time as well.
A user @sethsfilmreview has declared:
"he really does just ruin every running joke."
It's unclear why people feel this way, but the declaration has gained over 5 million views.
The majority of the comments appear to be in agreement that he somehow killed the joke. People are now sharing memes mocking MrBeast, claiming he's killed yet another trend.
MrBeast takes on the Chicken Jockey meme trend—fans crack up
Some are humorously calling him the ultimate buzzkill for jokes, and others are jokingly saying he's a boomer in a zoomer's body.
A user @Amelia128000 decalred:
"Honestly, he’s the ultimate buzzkill for all the jokes! 😅"
Another user, @AlohaCxbe, pointed out:
"watch it with no sound and look how they acting."
One user @NecotheSergal said:
"Mr. Beast, the Zoomer who Vibes like a Boomer more than they vibe with their own age demographic. xDDDD."
In the midst of all this, there was an amusing conversation in which one of the users, in a rather defensive manner, asked how a person could kill a joke that was never funny to start with, in this case, referring to the chicken jockey meme.
Another user responded by saying that MrBeast has a special talent for killing even an unfunny joke.
When a user @andrew_mohrman asked:
"Counter point: can you ruin a joke that was never funny in the first place?"
Another user, @sethsfilmreview, humorously replied:
"yeah if you’re mr beast."
Certain fans complained that the individuals MrBeast invited with him to view A Minecraft Movie were laugh-track-esque and questioned if they had been hired to mock. Others compared him to Ellen DeGeneres on social media as they accused him of having the ability to kill every joke.
A user @Halfemback quipped:
"I like how he got them fake laughing as if his stuff is real funny."
A user @DarrenTeeJay went on to say:
"He feels like the Ellen DeGeneres of social media. Both fit the role of making sure that something doesn't stay entertaining for too long, fades away and then something new can take its place."
A user posted a meme stating that all jokes are humorous and everyone on the internet loves it, until the brands come in. Then the joke is no longer funny, and the people just move along, letting the brands have the joke.
Then, some users sarcastically complimented MrBeast for his skill at ruining an already unfunny joke, somehow making it all worse.
A user @shadowcatverse labelled MrBeast as:
"The great ender of trends."
Another user, @charlioface, joked:
"the meme wasn’t funny, but somehow he made it worse. that’s talent 👏"
The Chicken Jockey meme caught on and received a great deal of attention for the film, with it earning over $300 million worldwide on its opening weekend.
