Disney’s live-action Snow White remake has been making waves for all the wrong reasons, and the latest promotional posters have only added fuel to the fire. The newly released images, meant to hype up the film, instead sparked a meme fest on social media, with fans roasting everything from the casting choices to the overall vibe of the movie.

With previous controversies already looming over this adaptation, the internet wasted no time in tearing it apart. Within hours of the posters dropping, Twitter (or X, for those trying to make it happen) was flooded with reactions, proving once again that when it comes to roasting Hollywood’s questionable decisions, the internet never disappoints.

The Internet vs. Snow White Posters

The post, originally shared by Fandango and Dolby, was meant to generate excitement. What it actually did was open the floodgates to a tidal wave of memes, skepticism, and unfiltered opinions. The backlash wasn’t entirely surprising; this Snow White remake has been facing criticism since day one, with casting choices and plot changes causing a stir.

People online weren’t just skeptical. They were ready with their best (and worst) takes. The overwhelming reaction? A collective "Yeah, no thanks." The posters, instead of capturing the magic of a beloved classic, seemed to remind people of why they weren’t looking forward to this film in the first place.

If there’s one thing the internet excels at, it’s turning disappointment into comedy gold. And these Snow White posters? Prime meme material.

One of the standout reactions was the never-ending confusion over how the lead actress keeps landing major roles, with someone joking,

“How does she keep getting roles? is more fair than thee NOOOO!” a not-so-subtle jab at the film’s star.

Others got more creative, replacing Snow White with a poop emoji in an “updated” version of the poster.

Some fans didn’t even try to hide their schadenfreude, openly predicting the film’s failure.

“Seriously can’t wait for this movie to flop 😂” summed up the general mood.

Then came the GIFs. A man dramatically exclaiming “Fckin...BOO”*

and Jimmy Fallon shaking his head while saying, “Awful...awful...” a sentiment many seemed to share.

It didn’t stop there. A particularly aggressive take still managed to capture the bizarre energy surrounding this film.

Others aimed at the Evil Queen, with one tweet comparing her to Malgosha from Minecraft, a reference that might fly over some heads, but for those in the know, it hit just right.

At this point, it almost feels like Snow White is less of a movie and more of a meme generator. Between the controversial statements from the cast, the skepticism over its creative direction, and now these posters, Disney might be in for a rough ride when the film actually releases.

For now, the internet continues to do what it does best: roast, joke, and meme anything that even slightly misses the mark. And if these reactions are anything to go by, this Snow White remake might just go down in history, but not for the reasons Disney was hoping.
