Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch is returning to the TVA comic books. Marvel Comics artist Pere Pérez has confirmed that the Scarlet Witch appearing in the TVA comics is indeed the one and only Wanda Maximoff as played by Elizabeth Olsen.

Yeah, as if Marvel fans were gonna just remain cool with this. X went haywire the moment news broke, with everyone losing it about Wanda coming back like she hadn't done it all already.

Some were excited, others were just left wondering how she was even back. Marvel just keeps bringing her back like a boomerang, and now no one's even surprised.

One X user declared:

"It's gonna be a lame move."

At this point, Wanda’s returns are a tradition, not a surprise.

A user stated:

"I’ll take his word for it but I think if this is true, it’s a hell of a lazy way to spoil where she ended up because they KNOW a good chunk of their MCU audience do not even touch the comics."

This user is realizing that Marvel expects MCU fans to start reading homework.

Another user added:

"I dunno whats going on anymore."

They just verbalized the entire fandom’s state of mind.

Calling out Wanda fans who were previously in denial or making excuses about her not returning, a user commented:

"The Wanda stans were coping so hard in the last post and now look 💀"

The Wanda stans really went from ‘She’s not coming back’ to ‘Well, actually…’

TVA better start fireproofing.

Another comment read:

"Big day for annoying wanda stans (me)"

Wanda stans are about to be insufferable, and they know it.

Marvel Comics artist confirms TVA Scarlet Witch is Wanda

Pere Pérez confirmed that the Scarlet Witch in the 'TVA' comic book series is Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff via an Instagram post.

The third edition of the TVA series showcases Ghost-Spider journeying through the extensive Time Variance Authority corridors during a final dramatic sequence.

Her investigation leads her to encounter a distinctive character from the "Department of Deferment" who shares similarities with the MCU's Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch.

The Scarlet Witch remains motionless in what seems to be frozen slumber while dressed as she appears in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The depiction aligns with the MCU version of her character following her actions in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The stasis might suggest that the TVA has stepped in to keep Wanda safe, perhaps as a prelude to her return in subsequent MCU endeavors.

The evolution of Wanda Maximoff in the MCU

Wanda’s MCU journey has been messier than Loki’s relationship with honesty.

She started as a morally confused powerhouse in Avengers: Age of Ultron, evolved into an Avenger, and then went full chaos-witch mode in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

That movie left her fate about as certain as a Marvel post-credits scene—did she die? Did she teleport away? Did she take a vacation in another reality? Nobody knew.

Until now.

The TVA comic series and the multiversal madness

The TVA comic series takes its cue from the Disney+ Loki series.

This series has been doing the absolute most, throwing in multiversal characters willy-nilly—Spider-Gwen, Captain Britain, and Wolverine's son Jimmy Hudson (yeah, Wolverine has kids).

And now, they've added Scarlet Witch, specifically Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. Because why not make the multiverse even crazier?

So what does this mean for comics and the MCU? The TVA could have stepped in to rescue Wanda after Multiverse of Madness. Perhaps they watched her destroy Mount Wundagore and thought she was too powerful to be left unsupervised.

This could set the stage for her grand return in future MCU projects—Avengers: Doomsday, perhaps?

The TVA’s expanding role in Marvel’s multiverse

The Time Variance Authority, known for pruning timelines, has become a major storytelling tool in both the MCU and comics.

Bringing Scarlet Witch into this space means we’re probably in for some timeline drama, magical mayhem, and at least one existential crisis per issue.

Is she here to help? Is she a threat? Is she about to turn the TVA upside down? Knowing Wanda, all of the above.
