The 2024 animated adventure film Flow created history at the Oscars this year by winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, making it the first Latvian film to ever win an Oscar. Since then, it has only continued to grow in popularity, with more people across the world watching it and showering it with high praise.

While the film has been basking in all its glory, Flow's director Gints Zilbalodis just shared a new video following the film’s Oscar win. The clip featured the cat and lemur from the film, with the lemur taking the Oscar out of a basket inside the boat and placing it on the seat while the cat curiously watched. The internet found the video incredibly endearing, with fans once again congratulating the director on the well-deserved win.

Hilarious Internet Reactions

The internet was quite amused by the video shared by Gints Zilbalodis and poured in to share their thoughts.

"Loll nice," a user wrote.

Slow claps for Mr. Gints Zilbalodis for celebrating the Oscar win and thanking everyone in style. His efforts in making the video have really left fans of the movie amused and endeared.

"FLOW DESERVES OSCAR ONE MORE," another demanded.

You know you've made a great film when, even after winning an Oscar, fans want it to get nominated and win again next year. Looks like Zilbalodis has become the director people expect to achieve many firsts.

Wait a minute, doesn’t the lemur in the video remind you of King Julien from the 2005 movie Madagascar? Those were surely good times when 'I Like to Move It, Move It' was the jam for every 5-year-old.

"The Oscars are a sham, except Flow's Oscar that one is legitimate," a fan commented.

The compliments just don’t end for Flow, do they? Even people who think the Oscars are a sham applaud their decision to give the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature to Flow as completely legitimate.

Another fan praised the director:

"His sense of humor is another level. 😂🤌🏻"

Yet another netizen explained what the video meant perfectly:

"Cat, we keep this! We earned it."

A movie featuring no dialogue about a cat winning an Oscar is something you don’t see often. Very few films have managed to achieve that since dialogue was introduced in cinema back in 1927.

The video shared by Gints Zilbalodis, featuring the cat and lemur from Flow as a way of thanking everyone for their support, has truly left moviegoers in awe. It’s a testament to how much he loves his creation, and now fans can't wait to see what the 30-year-old director has in store next.
