Lady Gaga performed at Coachella 2025 over the second weekend. But while the Mayhem singer was singing, her microphone was not functioning properly. Her voice was constantly cutting in and out throughout the song. Gaga caught on and made a humorous remark on stage to inform the audience that everything was fine.

“I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second, at least you know I sing live. I guess all we can do is our best, and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight.”

The two-hour performance featured songs from her 2024 album Mayhem, including "Abracadabra" and "Die with a Smile." She also performed some of her hit songs, including "Bad Romance," "Poker Face," and "Shallow."

The performance was gothic-opera themed, complete with dramatic lighting, fireworks, and a live orchestra. Collaborators such as Gesaffelstein also performed with her for some of the more experimental elements of the performance.

While some fans believe it was a shade on someone, others share humorous GIFs and picture replies, claiming that it is peak Lady Gaga.

Users are jokingly saying that the Mother served!

Following Gaga's mic drop sentence, internet users are listing a number of artists who may have felt targeted.

"She should have tested the mic like this."

Some people even made fun of Lisa from BLACKPINK, claiming that Gaga ought to take a cue from her because her microphone makes sound even when she isn't singing. This was a clear barb at the K-pop artist who users claim doesn't perform live.

Some people, however, are occupied with posting amusing images of the sound engineer who may as well be in hot water.

Meanwhile, a user @normalstans sarcastically noted:

"Lady gaga needs mic like lisa.🙄 Lisa's mic produce sound even when she's not singing."

Gaga performed incredibly on April 11 and, of course, on April 18. And now it is certain—she does indeed sing live.
