The WWE Universe just witnessed what happens when two vastly different universes collide. On one side, we have got John Cena, the walking embodiment of protein shakes. On the other, we have IShowSpeed, the human version of doing random character creator on Sims 4.

And surprisingly, these guys managed to craft content. IShowSpeed straight-up pretended he couldn’t see John Cena, even though Cena was just standing there, watching him wander around calling his name.

For a solid few minutes, Cena was frozen in time, just letting Speed do his thing. Finally, after a bit of this back-and-forth, Cena had enough, shouted in Speed’s face, and made his dramatic exit, busting out of the room.

Social media has had a field day with this unexpected mix-up. As one X (formerly Twitter) user stated:

"The John Cena “you can’t see me” gimmick might be greatest joke of all time."

A user humorously stated:

"Bro was really playing the mannequin challenge😭😭"

Carrying on the timeless joke, a user commented:

"John cena runs away? he’s not even in the video this is awful clickbait."

Another user added:

"Who ran away? I didn't see shit."

A user added:

"I couldn’t even see John Cena in this video."

Meanwhile, a user joked:

"That's what happens when you ask your employer for a salary hike. He can't see you anymore 😂😂"

A comment read:

"Was John late or something? I thought I heard his voice."

IshowSpeed and John Cena at WWE Royal Rumble

The whole shebang started off during a livestream backstage by IShowSpeed when he decided to channel his inner detective by shouting for Cena as if he misplaced him:

"John Cena, where is he at? Bro, where is he? Where is he at?! John!"

It was not iconic because it was clever but because it had the intellectual depth of a puddle and yet somehow still worked. But pretending not to see someone who literally invented invisibility as a gimmick was a bold move.

Meanwhile, Cena took the high road, or rather… he took the door. The man just scurried away.

What most people cared about was that after all this time, nobody could see Cena. Nobody has ever seen him. The joke is never going to get old.

IShowSpeed at Royal Rumble 2025

Akira Tozawa got attacked by Carmelo Hayes, leaving WWE officials scrambling for a replacement. Who did they pick? IShowSpeed.

Out of literally anyone else in the whole world, Speed was somehow in the Rumble ring. That’s when things went full-on Looney Tunes.

Speed hopped into the ring and in minutes he eliminated Otis with the help of Bron Breakker.

Of course, Speed had to freak out busting out a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired "Siuuu" celebration. Moments later, Breakker turned on, spearing him through the ropes and onto the announcer's table.

Footage from post-match revealed Speed limping about on crutches, with a neck brace. Triple H managed to encapsulate the sentiment all so eloquently at a press conference:

"I don't think I've ever seen a human get hit that hard."
