Every gamer, young and old, is pretty excited about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 because it's bigger, bolder, and greater than its predecessor.
A lot of fans took to social media out of excitement, and others were quick to make fun of the Nintendo Switch 1.
X user @tyray222 tweeted about his excitement for Nintendo Switch 2 but there's a catch, he will replace his loyal Nintendo Switch 1.
Other Nintendo fanboys and fangirls jumped on the thread, and made witty and funny remarks on the said situation.
"See Switch bud, that’s your better and younger replacement. We’re executing you in less than half a year, enjoy your final days." - another X user (@GamerLetter123) retorted
Some X users said that OP's (Original Poster) tweet is cruel and that their thoughts and prayers are with the OP's Nintendo Switch 1.
"That's so cruel." - an X user (@WaflesA) replied
"That’s not very nice!" - another one (@jupiterftl) remarked
"At least let it down easy." - a Nintendo fan (@Xgamerguy25) said
"Diabolical." - user (@MrChilly8) observed
"YOU'RE ACTUALLY A MONSTER." - a fan (@piss_kirby_) reacted
"Stop it you're hurting his feelings." - one user (@x3nialC0bra) replied
One X user replied on the thread that the OP's Nintendo Switch 1 will not take the news very lightly and it can lead to their divorce!
While others asked the OP if they could have their Nintendo Switch 1 since the OP will upgrade it to Switch 2.
"I'd gladly pick up your ex from you. That's if you're willing to let her go of course." - one user (@WTH_Fortune) added
Nintendo fans also asked the OP if the OP's Nintendo Switch 1 has a dysphoria after the OP shows the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement to his Switch 1.
"Do you think the switch gets dysphoria from the switch 2." - a Nintendo fan (@binglewhat) asked
"Me giving my switch gender dysphoria." - another fan (@SomeRan13219010) said
Other users supported the OP, citing that what they did was worse than what the OP did. Let the "which is morally worse competition" begin!
X users also replied to the OP, saying that they should apologize to their Nintendo Switch 1 because what they did made their Switch 1 sad.
"The hell is wrong with you, apologize to your switch rn." - an X user (@HanzoWasabi) said
Others began to speculate that the OP's Nintendo Switch 1 will take their revenge on the OP when the OP is sleeping.
Others began tweeting about the Nintendo Switch 1's reaction after reading the tweet.
"Switch: no papa don't replace me!" - a Nintendo fan(@darkrainbow44) added
While some take it the funny way, some users used humor with a hint of technicality when they replied to the OP's tweet (only Nintendo geeks understand).
"It can't see. You need to show it through its eye (IR sensor)." - user (@badgraphix) said
Other users gave OP's tweet a different take by saying that maybe the OP's old Nintendo Switch 1 will have a retirement.
"After 8 years I think it might want retirement." - a Nintendo fan (@axolotl289) said
X user @Scoreb_estuvoaq reminded OP to be cautious about replacing their Nintendo Switch 1, because let's face it, these gadgets will take it badly if they ever got replaced!
"At least I now know for certain that I won’t be the first to die if the machines ever rise up against us." - one user (@ndroereal) remarked
What's with Nintendo Switch 2, anyway?
Well, aside from its refined and stylish color (sleek black color lovers, rise up!!!), it also has a larger screen, a new design for its joycon (blue and red joycon colors, you will be missed), and the joycons will have a magnetic connection, compared to the Switch 1's slide-to-lock attribute.
Since Nintendo Switch 2 has a larger screen, chances are the graphics and the UI of it will be better and will have richer colors, compared to Nintendo Switch 1!
It's okay to have an upgraded gadget once in a while but keep in mind to make your previous bff of a console its well-respected retirement.
