According to the battle rap host, Nicki Minaj is the 2nd best rapper to come from New York after Jay-Z. Not the 2nd best 'female' rapper, but overall rapper. Now, this was a bold statement considering New York has produced some of the best rappers of all time.

He started by saying she is the best rapper coming from New York after Jay-Z, but quickly added the word 'alive'. He said:

"Nick Minaj is a better rapper than anyone in New York, other than Jay-Z. She can rap on a pop beat, she can rap on an R&B beat, she can rap on drums, and she can rap on a traditional boom bap. Nicki Minaj is the second-best rapper alive, before they start losing their s***."
