The latest internet rumors indicate that Solo Leveling, the South Korean web novel-turned-anime series, could be the next special guest star in Fortnite's ever-growing empire of pop culture.

This has been brought to the fore by sources such as @Shpeshal_Nick, who has a reputation for correctly forecasting the game's collaborations.

"Just got a DM that Solo Leveling is supposed to be coming to Fortnite. Have no idea what that is, I had to Google it. I thought he was telling me levelling of individual characters lol."

Assuming the rumors are true, we can then look forward to seeing some of those smooth cosmetics entering the game, such as Sung Jinwoo Skin, Daggers as Harvesting Tools, Back Bling, Emotes, Loading Screens & XP Quests

The Fortnite community took around zero seconds to begin responding in the most internet manner possible: with jokes, skepticism, and no thanks attitude.

Social media responds to rumors of Solo Leveling x Fortnite collab

X user @orfauh nailed it by asking if the name was even a good idea:

“This tweet makes no sense you can already level up as a solo what are they adding something different for 😭😭”

User @shadowlui12 was frustrated, noting that Demon Slayer—one of, if not the, largest anime franchises—has not yet appeared in the game.

“Man what happened to demon slayer 😭🙏”

And while @DevyDev2004 did not know whether to believe his eyes when Solo Leveling could be in line to surpass One Piece and Demon Slayer.

“Before one piece or demon slayer is crazy ngl…”

@Flameku1 quipped that the decision-makers have to be cooking something up, especially for their friend whom they tagged saying:

“The Fortnite gods really want you to play the game a lot huh lol.”

@astroboihero, on the other hand, has offered some reluctant yet humorous admiration:

“Man Fortnite doesn’t miss a beat.”

Naturally, not everyone agrees. @YLIAfan expressed their sentiments in the loudest form possible.

"NOOOO, WE DO NOT WANT THIS."

And then there's @tekashinuto2, who isn't convinced yet:

“It’s not gonna happen he said the same about demon slayer months ago.”

Will Solo Leveling be Fortnite's next big anime collaboration?

At this point, Fortnite is a humongous fusion of worlds. Superheroes, video game legends, anime gods—you name the character, they're part of the game.

From Marvel to Naruto to The Witcher, it seems as though no other franchise is spared. Then why not Solo Leveling?

Solo Leveling is a hit Korean comic called Manhwa, which follows the life of Sung Jinwoo, a low-ranking hunter who in an instant gains the ability to level up like a character in a video game.

As he becomes more powerful, he battles stronger enemies and learns what lies behind his newfound powers. The anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures is also a huge success, with some differences from the original manga.

This franchise has all of the things that would make it a perfect match:

A powerful main character that would be a fantastic skin.

A leveling-up system that plays exactly like Battle Pass.

An already highly popular anime, so a ton of fans would be totally into the crossover.

However, as of now, there's no official news.

But since the game is constantly introducing new crossovers, it's certainly possible. Until then, just keep an eye on the Item Shop—because if this does happen, it's going to be massive.

And if Solo Leveling does materialize, the internet will be set off with arguments about whether it's better than Demon Slayer.
