Kanye West was just catfished—once again. This time, he believed he was sliding into Joe Rogan's DMs, only to discover that the messages were from an impostor. West was excited about what he believed was an invite on The Joe Rogan Experience, but his excitement was short-lived.
Rogan himself was moved to step in and put it out of its misery, making it clear that he never sent those messages.
This isn't his first run-in with a fake account either; he previously interacted with someone pretending to be rapper Baby Keem. Maybe it’s time for Kanye to start double-checking those blue checkmarks.
The internet, of course, had a field day. Some found it hilarious, while others pointed out how easy it is to get duped online—even when you’re Kanye West.
One user (@CryptoElfie) summed it up by saying:
"Oh, that’s awkward 😬"
Another user (@cosmicdawg9) added:
"They gotta do it. We need “how much does the earth cost” part 2 🔥"
One user (@camhashoes) laughed it off saying:
"LMFAOOOOOOO THERES NO WAY."
A user (@Shadowiscold) mentioned:
"Kanye downfall needs to be studied…"
One user (@ladidaix) pointed out a bizarre reason:
"😭😭😭 Because why would Joe Rogan have an Android?"
This user (@JoseMiura380192) went on to poke fun at Joe Rogan, mentioning:
"The part about being uncomfortable with the latest tweets was a tell--Rogan would never say that."
A user (@Juana4ev) joked:
"Adin Ross probably did this as payback 😏"
A user (@headspawn) humorously chimed in to say:
"It's Adam Sandler again."
The impostor incident feat. Kanye West and Joe Rogan
Kanye West just blithely marched into another internet trap—this time, believing he was arranging a podcast interview with Joe Rogan.
He even shared screenshots of what he believed was an exchange with Rogan, building up for a future interview where he'd allegedly clear the air on his recent scandals, such as antisemitic comments and his strange merch decisions.
The impostor Rogan appeared reluctant but offered to use the podcast as a vehicle for Kanye to justify himself.
West was, naturally, all aboard—before actual Joe Rogan put the kibosh on it.
Rogan leaped onto social media with a straightforward, harsh reality check:
"Hey @kanyewest, I don't know who you're talking to, but that's not me."
The incident comes against the backdrop of his recent activities—promoting swastika-printed merch and offering eulogies for Adolf Hitler—which have earned him widespread public outrage, including demands for genuine accountability.
Best to say this phony podcast invitation is the least of his worries.
Joe Rogan's stance on Kanye West

Joe Rogan is not afraid of calling it as he sees it, and in regard to Kanye West, he's no different.
Admitting that Kanye West wields an incredible amount of influence within the world of music, Rogan has had nothing good to say about his use of shock value in an effort to maintain top-of-headline status.
In his last appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, he likened Kanye's brain to a "Ferrari engine"—incredible capabilities but also liable to spin out of control.
Rogan has encouraged West to avoid capitalizing on controversy—particularly one such as antisemitism—to draw attention.
All that being said, Rogan has also spoken up for Kanye to some degree, contending that his actions aren't always motivated by malicious intent but potentially by mental illness.
