As MCU revealed the much-awaited cast list of Avengers: Doomsday, fans cannot keep calm. However, the missing characters stirred some outrage among fans.

Fan favorites like Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Robert Downey Junior (Doctor Doom and NOT as Ironman) Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards from The Fantastic Four), are confirmed to appear in the movie. On the other hand, the missing list comprises some influential stars like Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Dakota Johnson (Madame Web), and Chris Evans (Captain America).

After the announcement, the Internet was taken aback. It turns out that Dakota Johnson has garnered quite a fanbase after her appearance as Madame Web in the 2024 movie. Although the movie did not exceed expectations, fans were looking forward to her being cast in Avengers: Doomsday. But again, many remarked that Johnson as Madame Web is not ‘one of the major stars’ in MCU.

In addition, many have questioned who will play Madame Web and how her presence will affect the plot or main story of the film. This issue has caused widespread discussion and debate on social media.

"Marvel is proving it can thrive beyond its established stars and narratives."

Avengers: Secret Wars is the last hope for fans to have their favorite characters back to the MCU.

"if they’re not in doomsday hopefully they’re in secret wars," noted a hopeful fan.

Known for their ability to stir mystery, Marvel has yet to release some of the names. Another user remarked.

"Nobody expected them to reveal everyone did they?"

It's hard to imagine Avengers: Doomsday without Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch, according to netizens:

"No Tom Holland? No Doctor Strange? Yeah, this movie is dead on arrival."

"Dr. Strange screwed the whole universe up, HITH Daredevil, Ms. Marvel would be consider."

Users are curious to see if the multiverse could carry the Avengers’ legacy forward:

"Guess we’ll see if the new faces can carry the Avengers torch"

This time, Marvel is testing the odds by introducing new faces and lesser-known characters to the clan. Whether the experimental casting will be a success or a failure remains to be seen.
