Instagram and Facebook had an outage in the United States and some other areas on March 25. The users reported difficulties, such as not being able to view comments on Instagram and not being able to log in on Facebook.
When users tapped the comment section on Instagram, it displayed 'no comments' or erased whatever was already present. According to Downdetector, 60% of the reported disruptions were due to problems with the comments section on the Meta-owned platform.
Approximately 34% of Facebook users were informed that they were logged off their accounts and could not log back in. At the same time, Meta has neither confirmed the problem nor offered any explanation for the outage.
As ever, users flocked to X to see if the problem lay with their device, Wi-Fi, or whether the apps were genuinely down for everybody. And what do people do when they arrive at X? Yes, they inundate the platform with memes!
X has been filled with humorous responses as people posted memes about how they freaked out when Instagram and Facebook crashed, what they were doing in the meantime, and how quickly life seemed dull without the apps.

Yet another user believed they'd been banned from Instagram and attempted commenting on a few posts—before realizing the app was actually down.
"Me commenting on instagram post tryna see if im banned or they just down for the 1000th time 🤣🤣🤣"

"It's always some shi with u Instagram."
In the meantime, Downdetector reported a steep rise in complaints during the morning, with more than 500 reports pertaining to Instagram alone at its peak.
