Ian O'Neill Smith, popularly known as Ian, is one of the emerging artists in the Hip-Hop landscape. With popular mixtapes and tracks like Valedictorian, Figure It Out, and Goodbye Horses, Ian garnered a worldwide fanbase mainly through TikTok and SoundCloud. His recent appearance in Lyrical Lemonade with 'Lunchbreak Freestyle' stirred mixed reactions among fans.

Lyrical Lemonade is an influential multimedia company that gives a platform for hip-hop artists to showcase their contribution to the industry. Ian rapped the verses of Lunchbreak Freestyle in a recent collaboration. However, not many seemed impressed as netizens joked about the track.

On the other hand, Ian got back to Tyler, the Creator's alleged attacks from August 2024's interview. Tyler had made remarks about 'white kids' who made music in an attempt to mock artists like Future and Gucci Mane. Although the attack wasn't directly aimed at Ian, fan theories hinted at it. Some even felt that the verses of 'Thought I was Dead' attacked Ian.

In Lyrical Lemonade's Lunchbreak Freestyle, Ian responded to the allegations.

"I ain't wanna show no disrespect, so I kept my mouth shut and that's not human / da*n, would've been a dumb*ss thing to do."

A user added.

"I’m disappointed in NFR for platforming this smh"

Another user pointed out.

"He could have been making some new blink 182 music but nah"

A netizen seemed confused about the online hate, given that they enjoyed Ian's music.

A user questioned his appearance in Lyrical Lemonade.

"Is he worthy of an Electric Company guest appearance?"

Ian's appearance in Lyrical Lemonade's Lunch Break Freestyle series may not have matched the audience's expectations. However, many fans did enjoy the verses and remained unaffected by the criticism.
