After months of anticipation, Daredevil: Born Again has officially been 'born again.' With only two episodes out, the TV series was released on Disney+ on March 4. Everyone's favorite blind vigilante is back to take down all the bad guys, but it appears that along with the bad guys, he has taken down his show's ratings as well.
Daredevil: Born Again debuted with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 78%, becoming the lowest-rated Daredevil season. The original Netflix series debuted at an impressive 99%, season 2 debuted at 81%, and season 3 bounced back with a 97% rating.
Daredevil: Born Again debuting at 78% feels like a blemish on an otherwise series' spotless record. Although the critics have praised the show for its gore and R-rated content. But a superhero getting a 78% rating lets everyone know if they are the favorites or not.
Still, it's too early to judge the show since only two episodes are out. Maybe RT did judge it, but for everyone else, hold your horses and wait for a few more episodes before you pull the trigger. This is what the audience is saying.
Fan reaction to Daredevil: Born Again debuting at 78% on Rotten Tomatoes
It is rightly said that the 'customer is king.' No rating or criticism will matter if the audience likes the final product. Rotten Tomatoes may have given their verdict on Daredevil: Born Again, but at the same time, the audience gave their feedback, and it was overwhelmingly positive. Not only that, but they came to their favorite superhero's rescue with these hilarious comments.
One user, @whatRanjusaid, seemed like a Marvel fan with this comment,
'I dont trust you'
Another Marvel fan, @EODHappyCaptain, came to its rescue with this comment,
"We all know its the audience score that actually matters, and its only been out for 20 minutes..."
A disappointed user, @CaptLuffy__, expressed their disappointment with this disgruntled comment,
"Guess the real blind ones were in the writer's room this time"
User @The_Master_Yeti jumped into the pro-Marvel bandwagon and commented,
"The lower the tomato score, the better the show"
User @OSU10151015 tried to defend the series,
"It's only been 2 minutes"
X user @samdelonggames had another witty comment to add,
"Gee, if only most seasons were more than two episodes"
Daredevil: Born Again has finally made its grand entrance onto the screens of its fans. The trailer created all the necessary hype, and the new cast *cough* Jon Bernthal *cough* did flutter many hearts, and the 'traumatic event' is keeping everyone glued to the show. For now, only two episodes are out. Let's wait for the rest of the series to rate it.
