Today every Ariana Grande fan will yell "Ariana, what are you doing here?" because she has just achieved what every musical artist dreams of, an Oscar nomination in the acting category. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for playing Glinda the Good in Wicked.

With this, she has joined the ranks of Jennifer Hudson, Barbra Streisand, and Lady Gaga. For those wondering about the coincidence of another great singer also being a great actress here is something you should know.

Before venturing into singing, Ariana Grande was already an established actress who started her career in the Broadway musical 13 (2008) and then starred as the goofy Cat Valentine in Nickelodeon's Victorious (2010-2013).

So, it seems like Ariana Grande has finally come home after a long absence, and look at the welcome she received. This nomination is another feather in her already illustrious cap. She received immense praise and a rain of nominations for Wicked and by now, after every nomination, Ariana must be like 'Thank you, next.'

Ariana Grande's fans flooded her social media with love and praise as soon as the nominations were announced. The last time she received this much praise was when she broke up with Pete Davidson.

But as it is said where there is praise there is also criticism. Fans had hilarious reactions to the nominations and this is what they had to say.

Nicki Minaj must feel so proud today that her 'baby' has made it to the Oscars. Let's see if the nomination turns into an award as the competition is tough this year.
