It's been almost three years since The Batman was released, and fans have been eagerly awaiting its sequel. However, the production schedule has faced multiple delays and is now expected to finally begin at the end of 2025. These constant delays have generated a wave of memes and jokes online, as fans hilariously hope that the makers will take notice and start filming sooner.

Recently, a video went viral featuring an ending scene in Oppenheimer, where two aging characters greet each other captioned:

"Robert Pattinson and Colin Farrell when they start filming The Batman Part 2."

The clip has had fans in splits while they continue hoping production begins soon.

Hilarious Fan Reactions

Let's take a look at some of the most hilarious reactions fans had to the viral video.

"I think they are a little too young here," a fan joked.

It looks like the age of the two characters shown in the video still appears too young considering how many delays the Batman 2 shoot has faced, and this user believes that they should be looking much older!

Batman is going to be 50 years old by the time they finish the trilogy," another pointed out.

Given how long it's taken for the second part to start filming (which still hasn't begun), this user is hilariously convinced that by the time the third part comes out, Batman will be 50. Maybe they should call it 'The Dark Knight Rises…Slowly.'

Wait a minute, did the creator of the meme forget that Robert Pattinson played a vampire in the Twilight films? And, you know, vampires don’t age! So even if filming starts 30 years later, he’ll still look exactly the same!

"Anyone know the movie? Thank you," asked a user.

The user above seems to have no idea which movie the scene in the meme is from, despite it winning seven Academy Awards out of 13 nominations and being one of the best films of 2023.

Colin Farrell is the last person who needs to worry about aging before The Batman trilogy is complete, as he’ll be covered in makeup and prosthetics as The Penguin anyway. Looks like all those hours in the makeup chair are finally paying off!

All the jokes and memes about the delayed shoot of The Batman 2 have certainly kept fans entertained. Now Warner Bros. better stick to their promise and start filming by the end of 2025, or brace for an avalanche of many more memes!
