Kim Kardashian, reality TV royalty and business mogul, introduced her latest “friend” to the world on November 18: a Tesla Optimus robot. This friendly robot has people fawning over it not only for its advanced features but also for the cheeky moment it demonstrated in Kim’s video. While hula dancing and “raising the roof,” Optimus made the audience roll over with laughter. Kim, who was hilariously interacting with her mechanical friend, turned the video into a comic gold. In the video, Kim addresses the robot and calls it her “new friend.” She immediately begins to check its features and capabilities. The first challenge she gives the Tesla Bot is to mimic all of her hand movements. The robot does that perfectly, creating the figure of two hearts joined together with hands in midair. “You know how to do that?” Kim marvels.
But Optimus was not through with the act yet. When Kim asked what it wanted to do next, the bot mimed the action of jogging, and that had the SKIMS founder in stitches, “That running move gets me.” Especially when the audience thinks that silliness cannot get any better – Optimus starts to hula dance. Cue Kim’s wide-eyed response: “Oh! You’re Hawaiian?”
She exclaimed "You're so cute!" when the Tesla machine blew her a kiss.
The pièce de résistance? A height demonstration where Optimus just raised its hand as cheekily as possible. Kim’s amused response: “Oh, you’re that tall!”
In the last part of the session, Optimus abruptly raised its arms and Kim thus declared the robot as the ultimate hype bot because of the sudden “raise the roof” move.

What the internet didn’t know was that Optimus was flexing its technological muscles and laughing right back at it. Tesla unveiled a humanoid robot that will have AI and human-like movement capability. Optimus is 5’8 (1.73m) tall, weighs 125 lbs (57 kg), and carries Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) computer. It also enables it to drive through intricate landscapes, complete tasks, and, as far as Kim is concerned, perform a hula.
That makes Optimus an excellent tool for everyday usage; it could change such sectors as manufacturing and transport. But let’s face it, people are much more excited about its chances of appearing in TikToks with Kim.
