At the Palm Springs International Film Festival 2025, Ariana Grande walked gracefully toward the stage to receive her Rising Star Award. But in the middle of receiving the award, Ari decided to bring out the Cat Valentine in her and jokingly pretended as if the trophy was too heavy for her to carry.

She sighed heavily as she placed on the mantle, looking convincingly weighed down.

Ariana Grande's 'struggle' to hold her trophy was instantly caught by the netizens and the joke fest began. On X, many users commented on her lean figure, one user said, "Everything she wears doesn't fit. She is a cartoon character."

Other users were a bit nicer and attributed the incident to her witty and humourous nature. One user commented, "She's always unserious Hahahha I love that."

Ariana Grande received the award for her role as Glinda the Good in the movie adaptation of the musical play Wicked. The movie is based on the 1995 novel of the same name and is a part of the Oz books and its 1939 classic movie The Wizard of Oz.

The movie also stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp who later becomes the Wicked Witch of the West. Jeff Goldblum also stars as the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande was presented the award by Jennifer Coolidge who joked that Ariana Grande had been entertaining the world for a decade and at 31 years of age she is now receiving this award. She exclaimed, "Hasn't she already risen."

Grande also noted the same and in her speech jokingly said she thanked her friends 'Botox and Juvederm' for keeping her young.

She said,

"I've been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words 'rising star' again. So, I want to start by thanking my good friends Botox and Juvederm. I thought I'd be hearing 'slightly withering star' or 'drooping star by now, so thank you. I'm kidding."
