Cardi B has finally let the cat out of the bag: her much-awaited sophomore album will contain as many as 20 songs. Her admirers have been waiting for this for the better part of a decade, and the anticipation meter has reached its peak.

Her first album, Invasion of Privacy, was a record-setter. It was released in 2018 and won a Grammy in the category of Best Rap Album.

While fans have been buzzing with excitement, certain keyboard commandos are already sure that without TikTok, the Cardi's upcoming album is bound to flop.

An X (formerly Twitter) user stated: “How much will she sell without TikTok?”

Another user decided to take the roast to the next level, snarkily stating:

“LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 20 flops on one album is CRAZY.”
A user mentioned: “Can you also reveal to her we DONT CARE. TikTok just passed away.”
A comment read: “Without tiktok that album gonna flop even harder.”

Another commenter suggested a career change for Cardi and her TikTok peers:

“TikTok is gone now bookie . No more free streams.”
A user mentioned: “now all the tik tok female rappers gotta find real jobs you first! @iamcardib.”

However, to this particular user, Cardi replied saying that she's "getting 7 million dollar offers to do my own vitamins I can retire."

Meanwhile, a user joked: “if we ever get it in our lives.”

In the context of constant delays, a user cheekily wrote:

"Can’t wait to see in 2050!"

Cardi B’s sophomore album

Cardi B has officially locked in 2025 as the year her long-awaited sophomore album will finally drop. After a string of delays and shifting release dates, fans are relieved to have a concrete timeline. At least until further delays are announced.

Originally, Cardi B promised the album would land in 2024, but life happened—pregnancy and personal transitions pushed the date back.

During an Instagram Live session on November 17, 2024, Cardi shared the new plan, full of emotion and excitement, declaring, “Next year will be my f****** year.”

With production nearly wrapped and the album cover already shot, she’s been grinding on new music since her baby’s arrival in September 2024.

It wasn’t a smooth sail to get this out, but Cardi needed that time to put in her finest and most thoughtful work, from the selection of songs to the quality of the beat.

She has not failed to keep her fans in touch and even pulled their leg with some album name proposals such as Defamation of Character and Intrusive Thoughts throughout the trademark filings.

Cardi B’s recent X Space

In other news, Cardi B is making headlines as she dropped major relationship news. In the X Space session that was held on January 14, 2025, she accused Offset and Latabia Woodward, his mother, of stealing her money, which means they deprived her of her money.

Cardi didn’t hold back, saying:

"I ain't listen after you and your momma robbed me."

Cardi also called out Offset for allegedly neglecting their kids, 6-year-old Kulture and 3-year-old Wave, during the holidays. According to her, while Offset was showering children from previous relationships with gifts, he left their kids out in the cold.

Cardi B has shared her complaints about being used and neglected by other people. This isn't new ground: In December 2023, she announced her separation from Offset on Instagram Live and said that she wanted a fresh start in 2024.

It has been a saga that has played out in their union since they got married in 2017, and then Cardi eventually wrapped up their volatile five-year marriage.
