News that astronomers recently mistook Elon Musk's Roadster for an asteroid is doing the rounds on X. The electric sports car was used as the dummy payload for the February 2018 Falcon Heavy test flight, though it eventually went on to become an artificial satellite of the Sun.

The Falcon Heavy was launched seven years ago, and the car recently swerved 150,000 miles away from Earth. The news has since been drawing mixed reactions, with one coming in from Musk himself:

"My car is orbiting Earth and Mars."

Users have since begun pouring in with hilarious comments, and we've rounded up some of these to brighten up your day. Have fun!
