Our main rapper of the month, Doechii, did it again! In a recent turn of events in Los Angeles, a man started a flash mob, and guess what? The rapper's song, "Anxiety," is the song that he used! (via @PopCrave/X)
Internet's funny reactions to the LA flash mob that used Doechii's song
Fans LOLed at the flash mob, stating that they hate the song but they loved the dancing, and they are hoping that the flash mob is not staged! Well...we have some news for you: the majority of flash mobs are staged by a fan club or by the record label! But that does not mean it is not wholesome.
"As much as I hate this song I hope this isn’t staged cause this was wholesome," another fan added (via @SgtWillisJF4/X)
Now that flash mobs are returning as a trend, fans poked fun at the flash mob's comeback, saying that it is a recession indicator—making you relive your late 2000s and early 2010s flash mob x recession era!
"Flash mobs are definitely a recession indicator," a fan said (via @Cait_Cavell/X)
Fans also trolled the flash mob, commenting that they are feeling a second-hand embarrassment because why are they bringing back flash mobs? It is soooooo 2000s-2010s!
Some fans also roasted the "flash mob as a recession indicator" statement because if we're going back to recession, at least it should bring back the recession music—because let's face it, the music during the recession era ARE ALL BOPS.
"God, I hope we get recession music back!" Another fan replied (via @johni_sweeney/X)
Because Doechii's song, "Anxiety," used a sample from the 2011-2012 hit, "Somebody That I Used to Know," by Gotye, fans joked that the flash mob people in LA are bringing back the 2011 vibes and trends, flash mobs included! (via @40CVL/X)
X users clowned the flash mob, joking that it is not a "flash mob" but more of a "disorganized mob."
"Is the ‘Flash’ in the room with us?! It’s giving disorganized mob," an X user remarked (via @unblockmebih/X)
Other X users defended Doechii's "Anxiety" flash mob, too, saying that if y'all ain't got something good to say, you might as well zip your lips and let people enjoy doing stuff even if it's cringey!
"People are just having fun and enjoying free will and life, y'all just haters and depressed even if it's cringe tho," another X user commented (via @AlexMiller64374/X)
And finally, some X users also hilariously pointed out that the flash mob performers of Doechii's "Anxiety" chose the craziest place in Los Angeles to do their crazy flash mob, and where there are lots of people, too—The Grove!
"As if the Grove wasn’t crazy enough lol," one netizen shared (via @BrookeReese/X)
Is dancing to Doechii's "Anxiety" healthy?
Now that we're talking about Doechii's "Anxiety" TikTok trend and its effects on the flash mob performers, health experts shared that people who joined the "Anxiety" movement by dancing to it have its positive effects, and one of them is that the people who joined in on the trend will feel that they have a hold of their anxieties, and they will feel that they have more control of their emotions!
Another positive effect of this trend is that people will get to move freely and without reservations, making them feel more relaxed, loosened up, and more expressive of what they really feel!
Even if there are many "Anxiety" flash mob and Doechii haters, there are still many people who love the trend and love Doechii because the singer gave them something: happiness when they do the "Anxiety" trend!
Kudos to the "Anxiety" singer and her team, and let's hope that there are more "Anxiety" flash mob performances in the near future.
