China has a rich history and holds the secrets of many cosmic mysteries, but none is more fascinating than the Chinese man's daily commute to work. If you don't know what this article is about, then sit down because you will be amazed. In the video, a Chinese man asks the viewers to join him as he heads to work. Sounds simple, right? Nothing weird could happen. It's just a guy inviting viewers for a ride-along, right? Wrong.

Watching the video will instantly remind you of two things: one. You will suddenly start singing Way Down We Go by KALEO. Two, you will hope that you never go to hell, and if you do, unfortunately, the road is nothing like this one. Did you get any hint of what the video could entail? If not, here is the answer: the footage has endless stairs.

Yes, you read that right; some guys' road to his office in China only has stairs. His worry while getting ready for the office isn't about getting stuck in traffic. It's about not tripping and falling down the stairs.

What does a Chinese man's daily commute to work look like?

A man from Chongqing, a southwestern city in China, recently shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) about his daily commute to work. The video quickly became popular and amassed more than 2.6 million views. All you see in this time-lapse video is the guy going down what seems like endless stairs.

The Chinese man's daily commute to work video starts with the man in his home reading a text: "How deep does the commute go in Chongqing?" Then the man leaves, and the multiverse of stair madness begins. He goes down a flight of stairs, starts walking, and then goes down another and another stairs. The fascinating part is that these stairs are not inside a building. They are a part of the city roads.

The man passes many residential areas, streets, and markets and even travels in a subway. When you think the destination is here, BAM, another six flights of stairs. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, he reaches his office building as energetically as he was at the start of the video.

The same may not be said about his commute back home, where he has to go up those dreadful stairs. Anyone thinking they had a bad leg day at the gym should be shown that video. Check out the video below.

There were some hilarious reactions to the Chinese man's daily commute to work video:

The answer to why the Chinese man's daily commute to work video has so many stairs lies in the city's architecture. The city has been built along numerous sheer cliffs. It becomes easier to travel by foot because the roads are built on existing winding pathways. The subways were new to architectural planning as they were built after the development of city transport.

One of the city's main attractions is the subway, passing through a residential building. Another video from the same city was uploaded by another user some time ago, and it again shows the unique architecture and road network.
