Many brands around the world have managed to achieve global acclaim and presence. And while many others only wished they could be like them, some literally became them with minor changes to their name. We've all come across knock-off versions of famous brands and even made the mistake of buying them, but some knock-offs are so funny that it becomes impossible to forget them. Let's take a look at 13 hilarious "fake brand" naming memes that will crack you up.

1 - "Contagious" sports

This company clearly wanted to copy Adidas, but it might not have picked the best spelling for its brand name. Anyone wearing sports apparel that reads "Aides" is sure to attract a lot of attention. Also, one would have to think twice before sharing this brand's items with their friends since, of course, "Aides" is transmissible!

2 - A new Doctor in town

Now, this one has to be fake unless Dr. Pepper had a long-lost brother named Dr. Thunder, whom we didn't know of.

3 - The all-new HiPhone!

There are many questions to this one. Can you only say Hi with this? If this is the HiPhone 5, have there been four successful versions? Is its operating system called the HiOS? Surely, one can recreate the "Hi, Hi, Hi" scene from The Big Bang Theory between Penny, Leonard, and Sheldon with this phone.

4 - The new entrants in the TV market

LG is known to make some of the best televisions in the world, and this brand seems to want to equal or better it, so it named itself GLD. Must be fun to say, "Life's gld!"

5 - Full form of Twix

This chocolate company must have people fooled, making them believe that Twix is actually a shortened form of Twin Pix. Do you think we will get a reunion between the two twins?

6 - Mastery achieved

After years of making the best chocolate spread again and again, they finally managed to Master the art and evolved into Nutmaster. Or at least that is what the makers of Nut Master believe.

7 - The cool cat

Of course, Hello Kitty is a cool cat, but this knock-off version really wanted to reinforce it. In case you ever doubted the coolness of Hello Kitty, which, if you did, how dare you?

8 - Taking a different route

This brand really wanted to separate itself from clothing giant The North Face, but they really didn't have to go the opposite direction and name their brand that! At least they were accurate about the antonyms. It's a grammar lesson, folks!

9 - The most popular 'star'

The sun is the most popular star on earth, and this brand wants to give Starbucks a run for their money by calling themselves Sunbucks. Hopefully, their coffees aren't always hot enough to burn your tongue!

10 - Putting the 'G' in KFC

Chicken lovers go to KFC around the world, so KFG must surely be for goat or grass lovers.

11 - An Okay Shampoo

If you want smooth and silky hair, then going for an Okay shampoo probably won't be a better idea than going for Olay's renowned range of haircare products. It's a different case altogether if you perhaps want to mess with your siblings' hair because they stole your Skittles pack.

12 - Not so sweet knock-offs

This brand just missed naming itself "Knockers," as they are indeed knock-offs of the famous candy Skittles.

13 - "Hottest Pizzas in town"

Pizza Hot definitely wants to show the world that their pizzas are hotter than that of Pizza Hut. Just to add to the edge, you know.

These hilarious fake brands definitely make one wonder what goes on in the minds of their creators and how many people buy the products, thinking that they are the original ones. However, they do make for hilarious meme material!
