Exploring Beyoncé's appearance at Kamala Harris' October 25 Houston rally

People started speculating about Beyoncé's plans to endorse Kamala Harris in July 2024, when she allowed Harris to use the hit song, Freedom, for election campaigns. The Democratic candidate kick-started the election campaigning in late summer with the same song.

The Grammy-winning singer put an end to the much-anticipated speculations on October 25, when she appeared at Harris' Houston rally. She addressed the crowd by saying that she was not attending the event as a celebrity but as a mother.

Beyoncé said she was worried about America's future and about the type of country where her children would grow up. She stressed how the U.S. needed unity, positivity, a sense of community, and humanity while praising Kamala Harris for working towards the same.

She also talked about reproductive rights and highlighted how important it was for people to have the freedom to control and make decisions for their bodies.

The Single Ladies singer ended her speech by presenting the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, to the audience:

"It's time for America to sing a new song. Our voices sing a chorus of unity. They sing a song of dignity and opportunity. Are y'all ready to add your voice to the new American song?"

She confirmed her endorsement of the presidential candidate while saying:

"Ladies and gentlemen, please give a big, loud, Texas welcome to the next president of the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris."

Beyoncé did not perform any songs at the presidential campaign rally in Houston. However, the popularity of the singer reportedly ended up drawing a large crowd both at the live event and on telecasts of the campaign rally.
