Drake’s Sydney concert just became the latest episode in his ongoing feud with DeMar DeRozan. On February 17, 2025, while performing on his Anita Max Wynn Tour, the rapper found himself in possession of a DeRozan Toronto Raptors jersey.

That jersey did not enjoy its time on stage as Drake chucked it off like it personally offended him.

However, social media absolutely ate it up with fans roasting ... Drake. One user stated:

"He’s embracing his lameness."

One user put it as such:

"He a bitter baby momma πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ still in the first faze of heartache"

Meanwhile, a user served a diss, saying:

"Drake has energy for everyone except for the guy that β€œruined” him. Funny."

Yet another user bought up:

"Dissing everybody but Kendrick imagine that πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ"

A comment read:

"Drake trying so hard to beef anyone 😭"

A user quipped:

"Drake acts so tough until its KENDRICK LAMAR πŸ’€"

The pettiest play of the night

A fan lobbed a camouflage Raptors jersey with DeRozan’s name on it onto the stage. Now, most artists would do the classic hold it up, smile, and move on routine.

Not Drake.

Instead, he picked it up, looked at it like it was personally responsible for all his problems, and then yeeted it off stage with a disgusted expression.

The move was peak petty, and the crowd loved it.

Where’s the DeMar DeRozan vs Drake beef?

The bad blood between Drake and DeRozan can be traced back to the latter’s cameo in Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us music videoβ€”a diss track that takes direct aim at the Toronto-born rapper.

That little stunt apparently didn’t sit well with Drake, who has been the Raptors’ number-one fan (self-appointed) for years. DeRozan was the guy in Toronto basketball from 2008 to 2018.

Once besties, now frenemiesβ€”Drake clearly took DeRozan’s Lamar link-up as a betrayal.

Tensions had already been brewing before the concert incident.

Back in November 2024, at Vince Carter’s jersey retirement ceremony, Drake had jokingly threatened to pull down any future banners honoring DeRozan.

What’s next for the feuding ex-friends? As for DeRozan, he’s been taking the high road (so far), insisting that he still considers Drake a friend.

DeRozan told The Sacramento Bee:

β€œDrake's still my man, still my man, none of it changed. It's so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day it's music, entertainment.”
β€œTwo of the biggest rappers in the world went at it from a competitive standpoint and they battled it out. That's what you want to see as a fan: Kobe (Bryant) playing (Michael) Jordan 1-on-1 and see who wins, see the trash talking, and whoever wins out of that, you're still going to have the debate, so that's all that is.”

As for Drake, we will have to wait and see where this beef takes him.
