If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that Pedro Pascal could sell us just about anything. Need a security escort across a post-apocalyptic wasteland? He’s your guy. Want to be emotionally wrecked by a space dad? Sign him up. Now, thanks to Spike Jonze and Apple, he’s selling us... AirPods.
Yes, you read that right. Pedro Pascal is starring in a new short film titled SOMEDAY, directed by none other than Spike Jonze. Apple is known for its artsy, boundary-pushing ads, but throwing Pascal into the mix? That’s marketing gold. Or at least, that’s what Apple is hoping. The internet, on the other hand, has a lot of thoughts on this pairing.
Pedro Pascal + Spike Jonze + AirPods = Viral Chaos
The moment the ad dropped, social media went into a full-blown meltdown. The combination of Pedro’s undeniable charm, Jonze’s signature storytelling, and Apple’s sleek product placement were enough to send fans into a frenzy. Some were in awe, some were confused, and others? Well, they were just there for the memes.
One user summed up the general sentiment perfectly:
"He can sell anything to anyone."
To be fair, if he cradled that rock with the same tenderness he showed Baby Yoda, we’d all be making impulsive purchases.
Another user had a slightly different take:
"AirPods? That message is lost."
Honestly, fair point. When Pedro Pascal is on screen, everything else just fades into the background including whatever Apple is trying to sell.
Of course, no major brand campaign is complete without the internet absolutely roasting it to shreds or, in this case, giving it the chaotic love it deserves.
One fan went full cinephile mode:
"Spike Jonze + Pedro Pascal + AirPods? Yeah, this is about to be cinema."
We can already picture the black-and-white film stills being studied in a future ‘Film Theory 101’ class.
Meanwhile, another user got straight to the point:
"Finally, pure cringe."
To be fair, Apple does have a history of taking things just a little too seriously. Remember that ultra-dramatic iPad ad?
And then there was @wllottnwldr, who had only one concern:
"Protect him at all costs."
We don’t know what he needs protection from, but we agree. Just in case.
"Apple really knows how to push boundaries with their marketing."
Love it or hate it, Apple did what it does best to get everyone talking. Whether you think SOMEDAY is a masterpiece or just an over-the-top ad for wireless earbuds, one thing’s for sure: Pedro Pascal remains undefeated.
At this point, he could star in an infomercial for a mop, and we’d still watch in awe. The man has range, charisma, and an uncanny ability to make us care about whatever he’s selling even if it's just another set of overpriced earbuds.
And if he ever decides to sell actual rocks? Well, we’ll be first in line.
