Fans' funny comments to Texas Chainsaw Massacre revival and Glen Powell's possible part in the film
Because of the possibility that Glen Powell will star in a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film, fans poked fun at the film title, saying why it is in Texas and not in another state.
"Why did this happen in Texas and not another state?" - a fan asked (via X/@DontRunImAsian)
Other fans also trolled the film, saying 10 Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies are ENOUGH! (via X/@Scoby20)
Some fans also joked about Glen P., saying they need someone else to star in the possible Texas Chainsaw Massacre revival instead of him because it seems like Glen P. and Pedro Pascal are the only working actors in Hollywood! (via X/@jesseplemonsfan)
Fans also clowned the possible TCM director, JT Mollner, commenting that let Leatherface retire in peace instead of creating another installment of the said film.
"Can we just let Leatherface retire already? The poor guy's been working harder than Hollywood's originality department." - another fan added (via X/@Dr_wraith)
X users are okay with the possibility that the actor can potentially be cast in the revival, but they suggested that they will be fully on board IF Sydney Sweeney is there as Glen Powell's co-star in Anyone But You.
"Only if we get @sydney_sweeney in it with him!" - an X user said (via X/@MightyJax)
Other X users also hilariously pointed out that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has more timelines than the Halloween franchise because what the hell are these reboots, remakes, and revivals for?
"I’m pretty sure this franchise has more timelines and reboots than the Halloween series at this point." - another X user replied (via X/@thatgeekderian)
All about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre revival
Since everything is still in the wraps and the owner of the film, Verve, is still not giving any updates about the film, it seems like the Strange Darling director, JT Mollner, would really want to get the revival of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and he also wants Glen Powell to take part on the film (maybe he'll be playing Leatherface? Who knows).
Reviving an iconic film—especially a film that has a cult following is complicated but with the right actor and director, the revival will become much more iconic and legendary. In Texas Chainsaw Massacre's case, we're hoping that it will get the right treatment for a revival since all of its other revivals are either hit or miss.
