Yoshon, Ari Fletcher, and rapper G Herbo's 7-year-old son just put the internet in check, and like very straight up. In a now-viral video, young Yoshon made it very clear he's not having it with nicknames such as "YN." No way, this child wants respect in full.

He boldly stated he'd prefer to be called a "young man," leaving hip-hop culture and the adults questioning how they refer to these mini-legends. Forget cake and balloons; Yoshon schooled us in personal branding before he turned double digits. With that level of confidence, someone get this kid a TED Talk and a business card.

We can see Yoshon saying in the video:

"Yo, you all call me a YN. I don't want you all to call me that. Please. And this is my first day of school. Can you make that dream happen? I need you all to call me a YM, and that stands for Young Man. Please."

As soon as the video went viral, someone took to his X account and commented:

"Yeah calm down lil boy , you literally like 6 years old"

Somebody shouted the blatantly obvious in as plain a fashion as possible, that Yoshon needed to chill since he's just six. No dodging around about it, though, but just a reminder that even though he may wish to be called young man, he's still scarcely old enough to stay awake after 8 at night.

The internet never lacks a beat at placing things in perspective, though, even if birthday boys are involved.

G Herbo's son, Yoshon, spoke one clear sentence, and the comment section ignited. Fans did not hold back, tossing out jokes, side-eyes, and the type of overanalysis typically reserved for celebrity gossip. From confusion to comedy, everybody had something to say because on the internet, even a simple correction becomes a group project.

Netizens react as G Herbo’s son Yoshon insists he’s a “YM” not a “YN”

Some people leaped in just for fun, making a solemn "call me young man" moment into meme fodder. Whether it was said or not, if there's an opportunity to joke, the internet's going to joke:

"He smarter than alot of bros already,"a user @suayrez hilariously commented.
"This dope af," another user @PA2GA2012 hilariously commented.
"Bro ain’t tryna get indicted," a netizen @suayrez sarcastically expressed.

Some people commented simply because they could, throwing in a joke whether or not it fit. When there's a trending moment, the humor brigade comes out, logic optional:

"Kids don’t want to be kids anymore," a user @jonathandezir hilariously commented.
"He too grown for his age lol," another user @HarlemMadeKay hilariously commented.
"A young ninja," a netizen @RedruMxART sarcastically commented.

The peanut gallery was as loud as ever, contributing jokes, gratuitous opinions, and remarks completely unrelated to anything. When a video goes viral, they never fail to get in their two cents to say something, even if it's simply to hear themselves type:

"Little man said put some respect on his growth, he’s not in the baby league anymore! YM energy only now, better act accordingly!," a user @HixAce hilariously commented.
"Ok bro …we’ve heard you," a netizen @georgiawithcake sarcastically wrote.

Ultimately, Yoshon clarified things, and the internet did what it does best: overexplain, clown around, and provide opinions that weren't asked for. The peanut gallery was out in force, making comments that varied from lighthearted to absolutely preposterous.

But one thing's for sure: this 7-year-old's already got more notice and respect than most of us will ever be able to get. Whether he is called "young man" or just "Yoshon," he's already out here teaching the internet how to request respect in style and, apparently, with buckets of confidence.
