Fortnite, which is known to many fans as the OG of battle royale (and the game that refuses to die, except maybe this time), has hit a downhill road after it failed to recover from a reported downtime, leading to 0 live players.

This would seemingly be the first time since the year 2017 that Fortnite’s map is emptier than a lobby before a hot drop, and the internet is failing to keep calm. The collective gasp is louder than a vehicle horn on a Monday morning.

So, when the buzz hit the internet, players and netizens did what they do best. Engage in their part-time indulgence of launching a meme storm. We are here to savor them all, one funny meme at a time!

Is this the first time that server downtime has sent players into a dramatic meltdown? Of course not. Almost all the popular games have had some or the other server issues. Some were miniscule; others led to downright 0 live players.

Who can forget the much-discussed launch of Diablo III and the 'Error 37' message that literally sealed itself in the gaming meme golden books? Now, speaking of server failures, when players are possessed by the electric urge to defeat enemies, a long downtime makes all those who skipped school assignments or office deadlines just to have a game night with friends regret everything.

The empty lobbies may make one wonder if this was a horror game preview. Did anybody scream 'Hello, is anybody there?' as they logged in? Well, the answer was clear pretty soon when the number 0 popped in.

While some netizens are having flashbacks of the moments they decided upon in-game purchases and searching for therapy, the streamers who run Epic sessions every day are sweating harder than the last-circle 1v1 match.

The wild arc of this popular game was definitely not on anybody's bingo card for 2025, but here we are. Just when we thought we had seen it all, a game that boasts millions of users lands at 0 live players. From too many to too few, this change of fate will go down in history as one of the wildest.

As gamers collectively pray for the server to heal and get back to its former glory, let us grab our popcorn and enjoy the jolly humor!
