Untouchables Entertainment has dropped the first trailer for The Dark Domain: MVW (Mickey vs. Winnie), and childhood nostalgia will never be the same. This horror film sets two of the sweetest, most lovable icons against each other in a demonic battle.

Produced by Glenn Douglas Packard, it's the beginning of the Dark Domain Universe, a twisted movie playground where childhood icons take a dark descent into horror.

Audiences are horrified, enthralled, or somewhere in between, torn between the ridiculousness of seeing Mickey Mouse become a slasher villain incarnate and the sheer absurdity that this film exists at all.

There are some who are looking forward to seeing how dark this remake can be and others who are still grappling with the reality that Winnie the Pooh could be going at it with Mickey Mouse.

An X user (@JadePalace1976) shared a reaction picture with the caption that read:

"I thought Winnie the Poo was supposed to be a friendly neighbourhood bear."

Guess he finally ran out of honey and patience.

A user (@english_shamar) joked:

"Always knew Mickey Mouse had an ominous side to him."

That laugh always sounded a little too sinister.

Sharing a movie still, a user roasted:

"Yeah...we're totally scared of this."

The scariest thing about this is that it actually got funded.

Maybe this one GIF (by @BenColl00602980) sums it all up:

Of course, there are some sus users (like @Cryptic4KQual):

This user (@TheLazerOfficial) is here for it but with a critical approach:

A user (@GianoliIi) asked:

"Who in the right mind wants a horror Mickey Mouse and horror Winnie the Pooh?"

Untouchables Entertainment. Next question?

A user (@CodySlam) quipped:

"If Walt Disney was still alive no way he would be ok with Mickey being this way."

Neither do we, but here we are.

Meanwhile, a user (@Arturojose51894) asked the most important question:

"Team Mickey or Team Pooh?"

Team "Why Does This Exist?"

Trailer for The Dark Domain: MVW Mickey-Vs-Winnie

The trailer drops us in Hell Forest because nobody in horror movies ever considered avoiding something that sounds like a trap from death.

Two prisoners went in there a hundred years ago, never to return, and have spawned a legend about an evil that's centuries old.

Flash forward to the present, and a group of childhood friends is inexplicably drawn back to an old reform school in the woods.

The most significant thing the trailer informs us of is Mickey Mouse and Winnie-the-Pooh are done being cute.

The film reimagines them as Dark Mickey and Dark Winnie.

Dark Mickey, who is played by Daniel Wilkinson, is a cruel mastermind of evil who operates behind the scenes. The trailer shows him controlling his victims as marionettes.

Dark Winnie, played by Chris Boudreaux, is less of a mastermind and more of a violent wrecking ball with a taste for blood. He's wild, relentless, and as far from a silly old bear as possible.

Besides Dark Mickey and Dark Winnie, the universe will have The Stitcher, Hellshadowers, and The Wickeds.

The "Dark Domain Universe"

Untouchables Entertainment will develop a shared universe of horror with The Dark Domain: MVW Mickey-Vs-Winnie, as was done with the Twisted Childhood Universe in bringing Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.

Directed by Glenn Douglas Packard and shot by cinematographer Andy Patch, MVW Mickey-Vs-Winnie will be a graphic horror spectacle.

Packard was quoted as saying by Fangoria:

“I love that we can take these iconic childhood characters from A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh and the 1928 Steamboat Willie version of Mickey and create a whole new wicked universe […] Our film is like the Upside Down World, with these public domain icons getting into a horror smackdown akin to Freddy vs. Jason.”

The makeup and creature design of the film are in good hands, courtesy of Emmy-winning designer Daniel Phillips.

The Dark Domain: MVW Mickey-Vs-Winnie release date has not yet been announced. The trailer has been out since March 10, 2025.
