Streamer XQc, aka Jordan Terrell Carter, has shared his views about Playboi Carti's recently released album, I AM MUSIC. Because xQc stated that he was being “generous” with the score, he ended up giving the album a 2.3.
Carti’s album, which his fans have been pleading for since 2022, finally dropped on March 14, 2025. After years of delay, cryptic Billboard allures, and a flood of tweets, the album still managed to get pushed back by a few hours on the release date.
We can clearly imagine how huge of a deal the mere release is.
The harsh review made by xQc ignited the social media fire just when everyone thought that the drama was finally coming to a close. For certain, Carti’s fans are bound to provide him with brutal replies to his reviews.
Some people tend to wonder about where these opinions stem from, while others like to put up funny suggestions to try and explain them.
A user (@suayrez) speculated:
"Drake told him to not like the album cuz Kendrick was on it. xQc's opinion doesn't matter."
A user (@_Briillo) mentioned:
"xQc just yappin he don’t know hip hop😭😭"
A user (@cagiago_) went on to say:
"Always tries hard to be different."
A user (@Agtesnx) served a roast, saying:
"He’s just like Kai Cenat but instead of actually glazing the album he tries to act different than everyone else by doing the total opposite which is hating it…"
One user (@lauracarolinese) asked:
"What does he even know about rap anyway?!"
Not everyone was roasting xQc. Some actually agreed with him this time. A few users thought the album was, to put it mildly, trash.
One user (@MrZ369369369) mentioned:
"Carti made all y'all wait just for the album to be straight up GARBAGE 😂😂😂"
A user (@Dividendjournal) sarcastically noted:
"He’s gotta be trolling the album in my opinion is at least 6.5."
A user (@Pronoerr) said:
"I’m not gonna lie, I kind of agree with him."
xQc gives I Am Music Album a solid 2.3
Playboi Carti fans have now successfully survived the great I AM MUSIC drought. After what felt like a time loop of cryptic tweets, album name changes (RIP Narcissist and Music), and enough leaks, the album has finally landed.
On March 14, 2025, Carti ended the suffering.
Carti woke up one day and decided to assemble the rap Avengers. This album is stacked with features like:
Kendrick Lamar on Good Credit and MOJO JOJO.
Travis Scott on Crush, Philly, and Wake Up F1lthy.
The Weeknd on Rather Lie.
Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla Sign, and Young Thug have also joined.
Carti is taking this to Rolling Loud California 2025, where he’ll be performing the album live.
