News has broken out that DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran have confirmed that Robert Pattinson's Batman 2, slated to hit cinemas in 2027, will not be a part of DCU.

"We love him, but we've got to introduce a Batman into the DCU," they reportedly said, prompting an outcry from fans all across the internet. Users have already begun decrying the decision, though it seems like as usual, it is tinged with a bit of humor as well.
