Andrew Barth Feldman is stepping into Disney history as the voice of Dopey in the live-action remake of Snow White. The actor, known for his work on Broadway and recent film projects, is taking on the role of the beloved, silent dwarf who has charmed audiences for decades. But while Disney executives might be thrilled with their casting choice, the internet had a different reaction altogether.

As soon as the news broke, fans wasted no time in flooding social media with their thoughts. And let’s just say, they had some feelings about it. The phrase "…and instantly regretted it" started making the rounds, summing up the general mood in the funniest way possible.

Andrew Barth Feldman Voices Dopey in Live-Action Snow White

The live-action Snow White remake has already been a hot topic among Disney fans, with some excited for the fresh take and others deeply skeptical about yet another reimagining of a beloved classic. Andrew Barth Feldman's casting as Dopey only added to the controversy.

Although Dopey never spoke in all these years, his presence is iconic and integral to the original 1937 film. Having Feldman now voice the character, fans wonder how this fresh perspective would be done.

The line soon turned into a joke that wouldn't end, cropping up in tweets, Instagram updates, and comment lines everywhere on the internet. The skepticism about Disney's new live-action venture had been simmering already, and this casting announcement seemed to push the company over the edge. Fans were not happy at all, and they made sure everybody knew it.

It was encapsulated one by one with,

"Again with the live action. They need a new term because it is misleading."

The overall atmosphere? These reboots aren't quite getting it, and the "live-action" label just seems like a marketing ploy when all that CGI is put into them. It's like referring to leftover food in a microwave as "freshly cooked.".

Another fan kept it simple: “I’ll just stick to the animated classic, not really feeling this one.” Honestly, fair. Sometimes, you just can’t beat the original.

Then there were the ones who had no issue with Feldman himself but didn’t want anything to do with the movie.

Good he is getting paid for this, but I would never want my name on this movie,”

one person commented. Ouch. But also, valid.

Of course, not everyone was completely against it. Some were happy for Feldman, even if they weren’t sold on the film.

Glad he’s getting his Disney bag though”

one person pointed out. Because let’s be real at the end of the day, a Disney paycheck is still a Disney paycheck.

At this point, it’s almost tradition for Disney’s live-action remakes to get roasted before they even hit the screens. Whether it’s the CGI, the casting, or just the audacity of remaking a classic, fans are always ready to voice their opinions. Andrew Barth Feldman’s involvement might not be changing minds just yet, but hey, at least he’s got people talking.

Will this Snow White remake surprise everyone and win over the skeptics? Maybe. Will the internet ever stop making jokes about it? Absolutely not.
