Marvel’s latest attempt at keeping secrets hit a major snag as concept art for Avengers: Doomsday has landed on the internet. The artwork initially posted (and quickly deleted) by Marvel concept artist Mushk Rizvi on ArtStation gave us a glimpse of what might be the MCU's most chaotic crossover ever.
While the leaked images teased a massive, complex story for Avengers: Doomsday, that didn’t stop fans from going full internet mode—cracking jokes, throwing jabs, and dramatically crying over spoilers.
Roasts were flying left and right because the internet doesn’t just react—it roasts, it thrives, it lives for the chaos.
One X user said:
"Soon as I seen the young avengers I lost interest"
Young Avengers entered the chat, and this user exited.
A user thinks:
"Someone's gonna get fired for this..."
The ‘We Need to Talk’ meeting is already scheduled.
A user joked:
"Sued by Disney and Marvel and fired big time."
The legal team is already warming up.
Taking a jab at MCU, a user mentioned:
"And this is how the mcu gets away with selling schlop. No business is stood on 💀"
Please, Marvel, find a new way to do things before it’s too late.
Meanwhile, a user declared:
"These are "planned leaks" to generate hype for the upcoming movies."
Maybe they just unlocked the MCU’s marketing cheat code.
One user quipped:
"The concept art for #AvengersDoomsday looks INSANE! But someone is definitely getting fired today."
Excitement level: 100. Job security: 0.
Doctor Doom: The comeback no one predicted
Now, let's discuss the elephant in the room. The leaks included Doctor Doom posing in a medieval throne room, appearing every bit as melodramatic a supervillain as he is.
And then there's the twist: Robert Downey Jr.—you read that right, Robert Downey Jr.—reportedly is to play Doom.
Tony Stark stans are struggling to process this one. The leaked art even has Doom hanging out with Doctor Strange and Yelena Belova, which only adds to the confusion.
Is he the villain? An anti-hero? Just a misunderstood guy with a killer wardrobe? Fans have questions.
Planet Hulk connections
A new batch of concept art places Hulk, She-Hulk, and Hulk's son Skaar in what appears to be Sakaar 2.0.
This might mean an adaptation of Planet Hulk—or simply more cringe parenting moments for Bruce Banner.
Either is fine by us.
Young Avengers assemble
Marvel's been breadcrumbing the Young Avengers team for years, and it appears the kids are finally having their day.
The leaks are indeed confirming the lineup: Kate Bishop (Hawkeye), Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Cassie Lang (Stature), and Billy Maximoff (Wiccan).
But twist—the kids are pairing up with Wong and Star-Lord.
The man who almost screwed up the Infinity Gauntlet is now training the next generation.
A new Black Panther: Who's behind the mask?
The artwork hints at a new Black Panther taking the reins. Is it a variation of T'Challa? A completely new character?
Either way, Wakanda's getting a new story, and it's about time.
Star-Lord and White Vision team-up
One of the strange reveals is that Star-Lord and White Vision are apparently joining forces. Whatever they're doing, it's either going to be a work of genius or a complete catastrophe.
No middle ground.
What's actually happening?
While Marvel's keeping the official plot secret (or at least attempting to), here's what we can put together.
Doctor Doom is a biggie. Whether he's the villain or simply causing trouble isn't certain, but multiversal ambitions could be on the agenda.
The Multiverse continues to be a mess. With various timelines coming together, Avengers: Doomsday looks like it could be another dive deep into Marvel's go-to storytelling sandbox.
The Hulk family storyline could actually be important. Bruce Banner's existence just got a whole lot more interesting, and not due to blood pressure.
Young Avengers are dominating the headlines. The leaks almost guarantee their ascendancy as a next-generation team of superheroes.
Marvel’s next move
Leaks such as these are not uncommon for Marvel, but this one is a doozy.
While the studio will most likely try to keep future secrets under wraps, no one can deny that this type of leak keeps the fandom extremely entertained between releases.
Until then, we'll be over here waiting for Marvel to officially announce what we already know (maybe).
