The thought of a live-action Split Fiction might make fans nervous, especially if it’s something that’s best suited for animation.

While several fans have their fingers crossed, hoping it's animated, a section rejected the entire idea.

"this isnt needed bruh"

The vibe is strong with some of those characters. It left fans wanting more, and a sequel would be amazing!

"Damn for a sec I thought that the female was Alita Battle Angel. Need a sequel for that for sure"

Sometimes, animated adaptations of games open up a whole new level of creative freedom than live actions. A user commented.

"are we talking live-action or animated? because that makes all the difference."

Gamers often claim that video game movie adaptations have such high potential but often struggle to capture the magic of the original experience. An X-user wanted a unified plot.

"Hopefully, the plot isn’t as divided as the title suggests."

Some have argued that many video game adaptations prioritize big profits and broad appeal over actually respecting what made the game special in the first place.

"Another video game turned movie? Hope they don’t mess this one up like so many before it. Studios need to stop focusing on profits and start respecting the source material."

The Split Fiction game was released for PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on March 6. However, this game is currently popular with both players and critics, receiving positive reviews, and critical acclaim. As reported by Hazelite, the game sold more than two million copies in its first week after its release on March 6. The quick adaptation had raised curiosity in the gaming community.

Fans are both excited and nervous about the Split Fiction movie. Especially after the speculations around Minecraft live-action adaptation, fans may be worried that a live-action adaptation won't do justice to the story.
