Pokémon is a beloved animated show that is cherished by millions. Everything related to it is also loved deeply by its fans. So when Nintendo revealed its three starter players in the Pokémon Legends Z-A, people decided to sit and listen. But little did they know that they were in for a huge surprise.

During the February 2025 Pokémon Presents show, Nintendo decided to give Pokémon fans a little treat. They decided to reveal the starting players of the Pokémon Legends Z-A. The starting players are Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile.

Pokémon Legends Z-A is an upcoming video game by Nintendo. It is the ninth generation of the Pokémon video game series and is the sequel to Pokémon X and Y. The game was originally announced on February 27, 2024. On February 27 this year, in another video, Nintendo gave more information about the story and the gameplay.

The game is based on France and is set in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. It is also another Legends game and is the successor to another Pokémon game, Legend: Arceus, which was released in 2022.

At the start of the game, each player will get a choice of choosing between three starting players, these are as follows:

Chikorita: The name may be funny and sound like the name of a Spanish dog breed, but Chikorita is a cute Johto starter Pokémon.

Totodile: Totodile might sound like a cross between a crocodile and a Squirtle, but this little biter can bite its way to the deepest pits of the earth and your heart.

Tepig: If Pumba from The Lion King and Pikachu ever decide to have a kid together, it would be Tepig.
