Playboi Carti is preparing to release his fourth album titled BABY BOI. However, there is no official release date yet. That's because fans were already baffled by all the delays surrounding his previous work, MUSIC.

This time, he sort of hinted at BABY BOI during Baby Jade's Instagram Live—but it wasn't really clear or official.

While Baby Jade was streaming live on Instagram, Playboi Carti chimed in, "BBY BOI OTW."

But because it's Playboi Carti, nobody actually knows if that means the album is imminent, or if it'll be years.

Nevertheless, the post indicates the album is in production. Where does it stand in the process? We have no idea. But it's out there… somewhere.

Carti initially talked about the album title in an Instagram post commemorating the release of MUSIC. He stated:

"All 30 thank you so muchhh. BABY BOI OTW."

The title BABY BOI has been going around since at least September 2024. That's when producer Lil88 posted on Twitter, BABY BOI OTW TOO, which began early speculation regarding the album.

Carti has a history of leaking bits years ahead of time. So, this time around, it can be the same. He may be teasing an album that will also be released in 2030.

Social media reacts as Playboi Carti teases BABY BOI ... again

Users can't help but laugh, with some jokingly claiming to be prepared for 2030. Simply put, they are saying that BABY BOI won't arrive before then. It will just consist of never-ending, random teasers.

Some people even described it as "Stockholm syndrome" for fans who remain hopeful.

A user @ATLONGLASTXO went on to say:

"2030 boutta hit so hard 🔥"

A user @ToxicHumans_CDQ stated:

"I might be a f****g dumbass but I lowkey believe him this time😭🙏"

Another user, @Galactic_Patrol, jokingly said:

"Stockholm syndrome got yall in a twist omg 😭"

A swarm of memes followed as a reaction from some of the user base. Fans are having a good time with the teaser, from dropping sus GIFs to laughing at those who truly believe it.

A user dropped a GIF indicating that the album has "not moved."

Another user commented with a GIF alleging that we're all back to square one.

Since nobody believes that we're gonna get it anytime sooner, a user said:

"2034 WE READY"

A user hilariously mentioned:

"yeah we so are cooked"

One user went on to react with a sus GIF:

Meanwhile, this user cannot believe that people are still putting faith in him after what happened with MUSIC.

"People actually trusting him."

Fans are joking that they missed all the false promises, and now Playboi Carti is back, and the cycle continues. It's obviously a roast, as many don't think the album will be out anytime soon.

Some even think it won't be out in another five years.

A user @tmoej7 roasted, saying:

"IVE MISSED THE LIES WE'RE SO BACK."

Meanwhile, a user @iServeth3Base said:

"Lol not doing this shit again just drop whenever u ready man."

One user @shittycopper quipped:

"Not ready for round 2."

A user @aiminforyou suggested:

"this the lying rollout before we have to wait 3.5+ years for the album."

Another user @4rishk said:

"this'll take another 5 years to see the day of light. trust."

DJ Swamp Izzo maintains that the album is "ready" and "done." Carti has been said to have recorded between 50 to 60 tracks for the album.

The project has not yet got an official release date, but it's reportedly completed—it’s just waiting on Carti to give the green light.
