There are two things that Elon Musk absolutely loves - space exploration and sharing memes on X (formerly Twitter). The 53-year-old billionaire has not only become a pioneer in space exploration but also the undisputed meme lord of X. So, have you ever wondered what you'd get if you combined space and comedy? Well, you'd get the highest form of satisfaction for Musk, and it looks like he just indulged himself in exactly that.

Elon Musk recently shared a video of Japanese engineer and astronaut Koichi Wakata playing a game of solo baseball while floating in microgravity inside the JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) module of the International Space Station (ISS).

Originally posted on X by Wakata, the clip featured the astronaut pitching, hitting, and catching a ball while floating in the JAXA module of the ISS. The video left netizens delighted and amused, who just couldn't stop replaying it.

Hilarious Internet Reactions

Internet users were quick to react to the clip and had a lot of hilarious things to say about it.

"Why is the bat not floating too?," a user wondered.

A question that many users have been hilariously asking - why isn’t the baseball bat floating as well? With everything else drifting in microgravity, some are wondering if the bat was tied down to make playing easier.

"How much taxpayer dollars was wasted transporting baseball paraphernalia to space?" wrote another.

Uh-oh, looks like this user isn’t too pleased with the video and wants to know if taxpayer dollars were wasted sending baseball equipment to space just for fun.

Well, if you thought playing baseball in microgravity was cool, wait until you see how astronaut Luca Parmitano washed his bald head aboard the International Space Station in 2013!

"With all that tech around, and you’re apparently far from earth, would you throw a ball around?" a user asked.

This user points out something quite interesting yet hilarious - playing baseball in space can be risky. After all, if you accidentally hit an important piece of tech with the ball while floating thousands of miles away from Earth, you're in big trouble!

"What did you get done this week? I pitched a ball to myself, hit it, and then caught the fly ball, retiring myself in a single play. 💪," joked another.

Looks like Koichi Wakata will have the most interesting and hilarious answer in the world if someone asks him how his week was, as this user points out.

Koichi Wakata has certainly managed to entertain the internet with his solo baseball video in microgravity, which Elon Musk re-shared. Now, that's how you play baseball in style!
