Scarlett Johansson as a dinosaur. Yes, the internet is losing it over a viral AI-generated trailer for Jurassic World: Rebirth. In the 2-minute trailer which looks more like a fever dream, Scarlett Johansson’s character, Zora Bennett, isn’t fighting dinosaurs—she becomes one. Just picture a Velociraptor with Scarlett Johansson’s charm and...a wig.

Let’s set the record straight: the trailer is fake, but it’s so well done that some fans actually thought Universal went out of scripts. Still, this quirky mashup has sparked a lot of fun reactions.

A user humorously stated: "I heard she did her own stunts! It’s actually her in the trailer, turning into the dinosaur!"
Another user said: "I would actually be interested in watching this if that was actually the plot cause why not these new flicks are slop anyways."

This user, (and us), would watch it if...

"It’s not AI. She’s method acting", a comment read.
"That sounds better that the original", another comment read.
A user said: "AI is really stepping it up, but Scarlett as a dinosaur?😂😂That's a plot twist no one saw coming."
A user jokingly said: "I think she should play a tree instead."
A fan wrote: "Ngl I believed it when I first saw it 😭"

And then there are:

What’s the deal with Jurassic World: Rebirth?

First of all, the actual Jurassic World: Rebirth isn’t about dino wigs. Set to drop on July 2, 2025, this fourth installment is aiming for gritty action and the kind of edge-of-your-seat moments.

Scarlett Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a covert-ops tasked with snatching genetic material from the three biggest dinos still stomping around and bringing it back to science labs to create life-saving medicines. But it wouldn’t be a Jurassic World movie if everything went smoothly.

Alongside Scarlett Johansson's squad (featuring Mahershala Ali as her team leader), Zora faces a world where dinosaurs are barely surviving after Jurassic World: Dominion turned Earth into a prehistoric Hunger Games.

Now throw in a shipwrecked family, some pharmaceutical conspiracy, and big scary dinos on the loose. Things have gone south and everyone is stranded on a dinosaur-infested island where a massive secret is waiting to be uncovered. Spoiler… Nah. You’ll have to watch it for the tea.

Aside from Scarlett Johansson(Zora), we’ve got:

  • Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s second-in-command.
  • Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist who’s probably got dino facts for days.
  • Rupert Friend as Martin Krebs, the shady rep from the pharma company funding the mission.
  • Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Reuben Delgado, the dad of the stranded fam.

The lineup also includes rising stars like Luna Blaise, Philippine Velge, and David Iacono.

The film dives into heavy themes like the ethical implications of exploiting dinosaur DNA to save human lives. It’s a clever nod to the OG Jurassic Park vibes we all fell for back in ’93.

While fans are eating up the fake trailer, some are side-eyeing the franchise itself. Actually, Dominion left audiences feeling… meh. So, can Rebirth turn the ship around? With director Gareth Edwards (Rogue One) at the helm and David Koepp (Jurassic Park OG vibes) writing the script, there’s hope.
